If Khabib wins, we will have Khabib VS Tony in the first bracket, and Conor VS Nate. The winners fight for the undisputed LW Championship.

Conor has repeatedly expressed his desire to face Nate Diaz in a trilogy fight.
This way, everybody is happy: The UFC, Conor, Nate, The fans, etc... and probably means that the UFC won't be stripping Conor just yet.

Very likely that Khabib ends up putting Max out for the duration of years, perhaps even end his career.

I mean, Khabib ragdolls LW fighters, including RDA who himself his holding his own at WW.

I know its been a while and Max has improved, but here's a guy who got taken down and controlled by Conor McGregor.

Honestly, tournaments will improve the bullshit that is happening in UFC.
Get rid of defending belts. Most of these guys in the UFC can't be relied upon to even turn up on the day of the event without injuring themselves.
Yearly tournaments can go on even when one of them injures themselves.
Have money fights from Jan to September and then a yearly tournament for each division for the title and the biggest pay day for whoever reaches the final.

This belt defending scenario looks better and they are copying WWE/Boxing. With USADA, the average stupidity of these guys who fight for a living results in more injuries.

If you have USADA, make the title a yearly tournament for the top seeded.

Same day might be too extreme. Maybe every week or two weeks. Something a bit more spread out but not too spread out.
The guys who make it to the final fight for a million dollars or something decent. Reward hard work and commitment to the tourney rather than who have the most twitter followers.
