Social By getting older , how can you deal with the Hangover after a good drinking session ?

Splash some water on my face

Drink a ton of water + a chug of Kefir

Eggs, ham, sweet potatoes & hot sauce

It really is crazy how much shit people will put up with to feed that stupid habit. The human mind is a weird thing.

Once you stop drinking you look back and go 'why the fuck was I doing that too myself?'

I know for myself it was because my parents drank (my mom probably too much, my dad in moderation) so growing up it seemed like a 'cool' grownup thing to do. I'm sure beer ads and marketing for liquor in general contributed when I was younger.

Now as an adult who doesn't watch TV, I find myself way less interested in all the dumb shit I thought was important when I was younger and being bombarded with TV commercials.
I really think the whole partying thing was marketed to us when we were young

I honestly don’t find it’s gotten worse from 25 to 35. We will see what happens in time but I found the hangovers I got from 15-24ish were nothing and now, they’re kind of bad.

I mitigate some of it by eating a lot before bed, drinking a bunch of water and taking a few gravol. Usually I’m just tired and have hangover anxiety, especially if I’m drinking whiskey. Most of my hangover symptoms are in my brain. Tired, low energy, stupid, anxiety.. seems worse than when I was a young man.

I used to go hammer out a gym session and try to sweat it out but my hangovers are worse now and I just can’t usually.

Water, liquid iv, some greasy ass food, ibuprofen, 6 hours of sleep and I’m fine. If I’m hungover it’s usually because I either didn’t drink enough water or I mixed a bunch of different alcohols. Wine/liquor/beer nights are the worst.

I usually drink a gallon of water each day so that really helps.

When I was in college I rarely drank water unless I was totally parched from smoking or something so I was usually worthless til the next late afternoon if I went hard since my non-alcoholic drink intake was basically sugar water.

But as I've gotten older I actually get less hangovers since I take hydration seriously. Also helps that I am not doing stuff anymore like mixing 4Lokos with Everclear of course

You don't drink lol. Weed is infinitely better than booze, and healthier, and no one is going on killing sprees or domestic violence by smoking a bowl.

Not trying to judge anyone here, but people act like because booze has been legal forever, that it means it's cool to drink constantly. If you're day drinking, you're obviously an alcoholic, and if you get drunk the majority of the nights of the week, you have a problem. You're not drinking to "feel good" or "relax", you're drinking to stop your thinking and the stress in your life, and to not think or feel anything but "party time", and that's not ok.

Also, doesn't it get old waking up hungover? Especially if you have a physical job? Waking up every day with heart burn, nauseous, stomach hurts, you gotta shit, you get to work and you're all sweaty and dizzy and feeling like shit, burping, trying not to throw up, it's so miserable.

I don't think people realize that they would be a different person if they stopped drinking, especially if it's hardcore drinking for a long time. I was getting near blackout drunk 6 nights a week for like, 7 years, and I've been away from booze for almost 7 years now and I don't miss it at all.

Drink less and stay hydrated

If I go out til 3-4am and get properly drunk these days I’m written off for 2 days so I just don’t do it

3-4 drinks and ending the night at midnight and I’m fine

Daddy needs his medicine.

Because drugs are fun. But you obviously pay a big price for it, so it's a tradeoff.

And of course one needs to be aware: Am I really enhancing a nice experience? Or am I just making an unpleasant experience bearable?

A vicodin and an Arizona energy tea used to be the best. But then I grew the fuck up and don't drink like a teenager anymore. Or do vicodin like a 2005 upper middle class mom.

As i got older, my drinking had increased. Surprisingly my hangovers have decreased.

Don't drink or drink rarely, and not enough to get drunk. Drink water too
