Completely different situation.

1. Both fighters knew ahead of time that the commission allowed everything under 171 pounds for a title fight. Both fighters in this case knew ahead of time that the commission required you to come in under 185 pounds.

2.Yoel weighed in overweight naked. Could not have lost more weight. GSP weighed in at 170.4 with shorts on. He could have just taken his shorts off and made weight but since it was not required under the commission's rules they didn't bother asking him to

All that aside I think it's some bullshit that they didn't just give Yoel an extra 20 minutes to lose the .2
