busted knuckles in MMA gloves?

I use 14ozs for pretty much everything except for grappling.
If possible (opinion of mine not general consensus) buy some heavy gloves for bag work. Youll find your hand speed when you put on those tiny mma gloves will be amazing.

thx for the posts guys, and yes they are the second knuckles where the skin is exposed. I do wrap my hands. I'll have to get some bag gloves.

Sounds like you are hitting flat handed. You are supposed to hit with the first two(or three depending on who you learn it from) knuckles and they should angle in for the greatest amount of penetration in your strikes. Start out on the bag slow and repeat combinations by building up.
10 x jab (always pause between sets and focus on power and precision)
10 x jab and cross
10 x jab and cross and straight
10 x jab and cross and straight and hook
10 x jab and cross and straight and hook and uppercut
etc etc

After you become more familiar with the striking, then move to freestyle. Remember, you are going to get just as tired and its when you get tired that you start making mistakes. Just remember to focus on the form and everything else will fall into place and then you can go ape shit on the bag.

A few things that I would suggest
- Learn how to make a fist. No I'm not being a smart %$. A lot of fighters never learn how to form a fist and that's why you see so many broken bones and people with "boxer's knuckles". If you go on youtube and search "make a fist" there is a japanese video that does a good job of explaining it. If you don't understand japanese you'll still pick up a lot from the pictures.
- Second, most "skinning" happens from not hitting the bag flush. If you are not landing cleanly on the bag.
- Third, get a makiwara. I would make one, most of the ones they sell are garbage. Train with it very lightly to start with. Over about 3 months very slowly increase the amount of power in your punch. The makiwara will teach you some form. If you hit improperly you will feel pain.
- Make sure you are using good form. Remember the hand has the smallest bones and is the first place that you'll feel bad form. However, over time you will develop pain in your wrists, elbows and shoulder if you hit improperly. Keep your elbows in and down. Don't flair your shoulders out as you punch.

where did you find video of me?

hand wraps would stop your knucks bleeding but i have a feeling that it is more to do with your knucks chaffing on the material inside

um so your basically scratching your skin? use proper bag gloves (16oz boxing gloves are good)
