There was the PRIDE FC Era, the Gracie Era, the Ortiz and Liddel Era, the Couture Era, the Penn, the Hugues, the GSP, the Anderson, the Chael, Jones, Rousey, you name it...

The UFC always grew bigger, richer and more bankable while moving to the next big thing.

The UFC is moving away from McGregor, putting him back in the ranks for failing to deliver on his promise to be a proactive, multi-division fighter/champion carrying the weight of fighting, promoting and be a company guy. He won't fight Diaz, won't fight for the LW belt, won't fight at 200, won't fight in NYC.

That's no news to anyone, the UFC is turning its back on the one they pushed so hard and gave so much to, although public opinion is widely in McGregor's favor.

Will there be repercussions? Will the fans make them pay in any way? Or will the UFC just move on to the next big thing, promoting one event at a time and keep on gradually growing?
