Burns would wreck Colby so bad

Colby would beat the snot outta burns.

At least burns tests himself against elite fighters and feared up and comers. What's Colby's best performance? Two losses to Usman? His best win was against dos anjos, a past his prime Lightweight, who took him down repeatedly after Colby slowed down in the third. Colby still wok but that fight was way closer than it should have been. You think Gilbert can't recreate that performance?
 
Burns is elite. Just ran up against an insanely good Usman.

People thinking he some sort of chump. Khamzat's win was huge against burns.

In fact, if you think about it, Burns went toe to toe with a middleweight and had a chance to win.
 
Thought the same watching this card. Would like to see Colby Burns if Colby wasn't constantly gifted title shots as he dodged legit contenders. Because I don't see a route to victory for Colby. Burns beats or at least matches him everywhere
 
Not an easy matchup for Colby, true. I forget if Burns' cardio is good in the later rounds though.
 
Lol I was going to make a thread saying Colby dominates Burns.
Burns will have trouble taking him down and he's definitely not submitting Colby (He's got like 1 submission win in his last 9 fights despite being like a 10th degree black belt).
He's also not powerful enough to knock Colby out.
Colby will just drown him with volume and takedowns.

Gilbert would KO glass jaw Colby, but Colby is far too scared to ever take the fight so we’ll likely never know
 
No way. Colby made Masvidal his bitch. Burns let him hang around.

It would be a great fight, probably a stand and bang fight like usman/Colby.

It wouldn't be easy for either man.

Should be a great first title defense for Colby.

Burns is a 3rd degree black belt and just made short work of Neal a while back.

Colby wrestles but I don't think he's gonna with the submission threat from burns.
 
I actually couldn't agree less, after seeing burns last night i was not at all impressed with him, I hope he doesn't get the next title shot. Would much rather see it given to shavkat.
