I actually dont know why they dont do this more often. Like if you had brutal losses when you fought the top top guys, then get a fight vs a guy thats not supposedly that good to win one again and gain back confidence. If you cant beat that guy, it prob means youre still not ready to fight at the top anyway and its brain trauma wise beneficial to not get destroyed that bad at least in this case by a bjj guy. Worst thing that can happen is a chill sub.
