Media Bryce Mitchell Talks About KO Loss

Son, this money will change your life.

Son, I will build a barn.

Good stuff. 6 months is my imaginary, arbitrary benchmark for a return to sparring/camp for when fighters take a lot of concussive damage like this.

Mitchell seemed promising on the come-up. Saw a few cracks in his game against Fili, but I was willing to let that go once he absolutely tuned up Barboza -- which was a solid win even at Edson's age. Lately, though, things haven't looked great even if you grant him the mitigating circumstances of supposedly being sick against Topuria or filling in on short notice against Emmett. I don't really know where he goes from here, but as others have said I wouldn't mind seeing a camp change. He occasionally pops into other facilities to cross-train, but his home gym is basically just a tiny collection of dudes training out of a hole-in-the-wall in Arkansas. I get the sense that he's a big fish in a small pond over there, which has led to his skill set stagnating.

Man…. Another fight like that and he’ll be getting his Benny Paret on.

I don’t want to see that.

It's normal, maybe not "convulsing" but weird move while sleeping, my girlfriend does it all the time, that's how I know she fell asleep
i think he's confusing 'convulsing' with 'twitching'. i twitch in bed now and then and that's a common thing, like arms and facial muscles firing and things like that. but pretty sure people aren't supposed to convulse in bed. if he's trying to associate what happened after the KO to this stuff, he's definitely confused. which isn't exactly news, we knew that already.

-wasn’t concerned about the convulsions because he says he convulses frequently in his sleep so it’s nothing new

I totally get that. It's like getting ko'ed is like falling asleep, it's completely natural and most everyone does it at least once a day.

Lol I don't know why this has to be pointed out, but convulsing during sleep is typically a physical reaction to a dream, not because someone just separated you from your consciousness via fist to the dome.

Some people just suck at striking. I don't get the impression he'll ever be good at it. Typically if you have any talent there it would have shown itself by now.

He might want to get that checked out

He does it regularly in his sleep since the Emmett fight

Yeah dude you may want to go see a doctor about why you're convulsing in your sleep. That's not normal....

Misfit Magic to elevate his skills = Couture and Team Nicksick.

But it's in Sin City and that Sphere will be taunting him everyday... :)
