Yeah but it was more than that, Shara just had no plan B whatsoever, his boxing is very basic and we already know he's not a very good grappler, so basically unless he's fighting a plodding guy who's a lesser striker and can't really rely on wrestling, he's kinda fucked.
Even a guy like Petrosyan who is about as mediocre as it gets in that division was probably up on the scorecards until that double backfist miracle. Those are nice, but you can't rely on catching guys with stuff like that especially as the competition gets stiffer.
I just don't see him ever breaking into the top 5.

It was just a bit frustrating that when he had MVP backed up behind the black line he didn't throw enough. I think if he'd done that more he could have landed enough offence to win because although MVP was doing a lot of posing and whatever he wasn't actually landing that much himself.
Hopefully he can fix it but I never said he was going to be champ I don't think, I just find him entertaining to watch and I'm sure that will continue.

I was expecting him to let his kicks go a little more when he had Page backing up; but, I also recall he started the third round with some more pressure and urgency and got his head snapped back pretty hard. Page was waiting to counter all night and to go along with his unorthodox movements and speed he has some real explosive power. Could Shara have yelled Allahu Akbar and just went forward like a kamikaze? yeah he could have made that choice. But that is easy for me to say when I'm not the one in there fighting. More often than not, self preservation matters more than winning in the end, if winning requires risking getting your skull cracked open - which Page was also throwing those jumping knees.
In all honesty you have to give credit to Page. He didn't "dominate" like some people are saying (he did a lot of running and Shara was starting to make some reads on him); and, I would have like to have seen that as a five round fight or even a hypothetical unlimited round fight to really see what would have happened. But nevertheless as it stands, Page won that fight.
Why so many posters here have so much salt for Shara Bullet, I don't know. Jealousy maybe.
