I like and admire that man. Like many I’ve watched TUF from the outset. He was engaging and polarizing. But he didn’t get drunk and play the role for the camera. Or maybe he did but it was so flamboyant at times yet so reserved at other times, that you were drawn in.

What is the secret to Alex's longevity in the UFC?

Hes good value compared to what UFC pays him.
UFC can continue to pay him low cuz hes getting money from the Reebok pot.
Hes represents a demographic for the UFC.
Hes a solid gate keeper whos a 4/10 in every erae that the UFC can test their new talent against
