Does anyone give Matt a good chance against Damian? Personally I can't see how he wins it.

I just dont see how. Matt brown is a grinder but not a powerful guy. He wins off of volume and breaking his opponents down.

The longer you stay in there with damien the worse it is.

Maia hasn't finished a lot of fights lately; if he doesn't finish Brown in the 1st, then in an up-and-down kind of fight Brown will start to take over like he did against Erik Silva. When he gets Brown down he needs to capitalize or else he could well pay for it later in the fight.

Maia likes getting takedowns from the clinch, and Brown likes destroying people in the clinch with brutal knees and elbows.

I favor Maia, but Brown is a live dog.

You don't see how ?

In order to be in the ground, Maia gets his trips from the clinch.

Brown is one of the strongest motherfuckers in the clinch. One of the most dangerous too. One knee/elbow and it could be over.

It extremely unlikley brown finishes anything with one shot. Hes a grinder not a power puncher.

He's more of a grinder, true, but he still generates decent power with his hands. Maybe not quite enough to say he's a power puncher, but I was talking about knees and elbows. He can drop/knock out could anyone with one of those.

Anyway, if his strikes aren't powerful enough to finish the fight, they still can very well be game changers. If Maia gets hurt, and it could happen, it's going to be tough to survive the pace that Matt brings when he smells blood.

If it hits the mat with 1min+ left on the round fight is over though. Still definitely not a gimme fight for Maia imo.
