Bron Breakker or MJF?

Bron is a guy you can build a round. MJF is a guy you use to build around guys like Bron. Steiner is the correct choice for your first round pick.

MJF and I ducking hate him. He’s got it on the mike, any kid can hit the weights.

If that's the case Chris Master's would have been the greatest superstar in the business. Hitting the weights doesn't make folks ooze superstar the way Steiner does.

Bron. Mjf is a fine worker and will have a great career. But his face isn't handsome enough and his clothes aren't nice enough for his gimmick.

They really haven't gutted it, though. Unless you were hung up in this particular talent or another that was released or reassigned, a lot of it is the same. The talents tended to change over in waves before where new top NXT guys would get made when the top guys went to Raw or Smackdown. Just that this time, they released a bunch too, changed the logo, and took a few guys straight from the PC cut to the front of the line to the main event picture. Ciampa's still there and on top. Io Shirai is still there. Cameron Grimes. Pete Dunne. Legado del Fantasma.

I hated grimes but after the start of the hillbilly Ted DiBiase I loved him. Haven't watched nxt since then so not sure how he's been handled since.

Did the Chris fellow have the promo game?

Oh my god finally someone else noticed how he buys off the rack and then does tailor them to his body!!!!

Irrelevant since you claimed anyone could hit the weights, but no.
Anyone CAN hit the weights. Not everyone is going to learn to talk, and managers aren’t a thing anymore.

Again...hitting the weights is irrelevant if you've got the presence and charisma of a potato. MJF can talk pretty well...but nothing about him exudes larger than life presence. He'd be a good asset to a rasslin company for sure...but he's not nor will he ever be a true superstar that captures the mainstream attention. Is Steiner? Not sure...but he seems far more likely to be able to reach that level out of the two.

They're toning down the goofy aspects of him and got him more into a serious athlete mode vs Carmelo Hayes. Vignette had him walking through the trailer parks in Cameron, NC, talking about how far he's come and much further it is To. The. MOON!

Brim isn’t a Steiner either, the won’t let him be.

and he’s not great on the mic.

You can get around that if you have presence, and Steiner does. Goldberg had years of promos less than 5 words and put a shit ton of asses in seats and eyes on sets. Can Steiner do the same? Again...I'm not sure...but the potential is there. MJF is a great 2nd tier guy. MJF's the guy who works with the guy the crowd came to see.

I don’t know man. Every time I see Brin speak it looks like he’s uncomfortable and has stage fright.
I do like when he barks like a Doberman

Also I think Goldberg fucking sucks so if that Brons ceiling…..ok

He seems fine when it's the prerecorded stuff. When he's got a live mic with a script it does sound unnatural...but he's hardly alone in that. Hopefully in time they'll give him more of a free reign when he talks.

You can think Goldberg sucks and that's fine...but you can't deny the man drew a crowd and made a shit ton of money for himself and the people he worked for at one point. Most folks in rasslin can only dream of hitting Goldberg's ceiling. That's not to say he was the greatest worker or talker...but at the end of the day he captured the public imagination and made them believe in rasslin being a cool again...even if only for a couple years. That's better than most can say about their careers.

Now if you're only talking about Oldberg...then yeah...bleh...

Dude you know I only learned about wrestling in the past year and a bit out of spite. Of course I’m talking about old berg.

I haven't seen as much of Bron as I have MJF, but I would lean toward Bron if I was "starting a promotion." MJF is a very good heel, but I don't see him getting beyond that one note and he's already getting a bit state. He's also small. I don't see him as a believable force - he's a talker who needs backup always. That can work to an extent, but I don't buy him as "the guy."

@sleepwalk - why will Bron have to change his finisher?

Damn it Sara...then say Oldberg if you mean Oldberg.
