Current version of Reem is smarter and better than the one that beat Brock. He was purely focussed on power and killing fights in the first round back then. All fighters had to do was survive the first onslaught. Reem would empty his gastank, and he would just be a walking target waiting to be knocked out.

Current Overeem would dismantle Brock, like he has done with the most fighters in the HW division. Brock has been out of the game for too long. You can't just come back. Also, last interview when asked which fighters Overeem respected the most, first he came with Fedor and second one was Brock Lesnar.

Just noticed Overeem already beat 6 former UFC champions. Time he becomes a champ himself.
 
The funny thing is if Brock gets a Hall of Fame induction, I wouldn't even be mad because he actually sort of deserves it.
