Yeah, I think it was his idea to get her a show in Vegas so that she stayed busy.

Honestly a Vegas residency would be perfect for someone in her situation. Lot's of cash, a set schedule of rehearsing and performing. People come to you not the other way around. No pressure to cut new albums. But you also get to sleep in the same bed every night. Everything is contained.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that maybe her dad has her best interest at heart, and should be trusted more to be selfless towards his daughter than just about anybody else.
