The man is only 25. 11-0-1 with 7 finishes. Good striker with no fear of going to ground and choking you out! Future Champ?

His war with Thiago was the best of last year (along with Condit/Lawler):

Highlights!

Yeah he's looking like a beast in the making. Must be crazy beating your childhood hero lol.

He got caught with steroids after his first UFC fight, not exactly a cool move to make yourself likeable

He would be the greatest thing that ever happened if he didn't fail that drug test.
I still like him, he kicks ass but that's a permanent stain on his career.

Even worse that it's early, it would have been much better if it was near the end of his career like what Silva did.

He's fun to watch but Yair Rodriguez is a lot more exciting to me.

I'm not sure. He seems to take a lot of damage in his fights. His career could end up like Struve's, who was also a young, talented guy that got into too many wars and never was able to get much further than breaking into that top 10 ranking.

It's only a problem if they end up looking like Belfort and others did after being caught, for me.

Ortega looks the same.

Yes he needs to improve his defense for sure! That f**K it let's brawl toughness could be tempered. I hope he takes a big stretch off and works on this and more wrestling.

Yeah he's a beast. He should fight Bermudez next.

rofl at good striker. he made clay guida look like cassius clay for 10 minutes. dudes been popped juicing already. i hope he gets destroyed in all his upcoming bouts.

Yep, like Struve he is becoming notorious for having exciting fights. Hopefully he realizes that it's hard to have any longevity in MMA if you lean on your toughness too heavily. Ortega should look at the slightly older Poirier, who said his newfound success has a lot to do with his interest in showcasing his skills more than just his willingness to "bang" like a wild man.

Seems like a good matchup. Both with recent wins over Guida. Next year. I agree that as a very young fighter he has things to work on to be a more technical striker with better defense, but the raw talent is there, and hes a vicious shark on the canvas.

Im a fan of the guy but the steroid thing has made me think twice about praising him tbh

I watched his fight the other night and he nearly lost. That hail mary knee won him the fight. Supposedly a top ground guy and he spent the whole fight losing the standup battle.

Props that he won but he needs to up his fight IQ.

Fortunately for all you USADA cops he's clean now and can just beat his way to the top without your approval.

I love fighting.

He was losing pratically his last three fights before finishing them in the third round. At some point, he'll run into a guy who doesn't give him a chance to get back into fight. I like comebacks, but they are unreliable.

I'm surprised he pissed hot. The guy is a freak talent though.

Who cares if he pissed hot? He did his time. I bet a lot more guys got away with peds than those who got caught.

He looked like a fucking killer in that 3rd round, I am exited to see him fight again.

I am up and coming ;)
