He has this thing called a contract. Don’t sign if you dont like the particulars.
 
A lot of similarities between Jon Jones and Brian Ortega..

-Both have used PEDS and been suspended
-Both refused to take late notice opponents
-Both have shady pasts and have been in trouble with the law
-Both come across as entitled

When you sign a contract to fight, you're given an specific opponent. If the opponent changes the contract is void, that's why the UFC has to ask Ortega to accept again. Which means the negotiation starts from square one.

Fighters and agents need to build language into the contract that says, if the opponent cancels for legitimate reasons the fighter will be partially compensated. The UFC is making money and a portion of the revenue should be allocated for FUBAR situations like this.

it's the opposite, people like you are more against him than people in favor of him. if this was a decent organization he would have gotten a little bit, just to cover his expenses. he was contracted to fight holloway since what, 2 or 3 months ago, showed up, did EVERYTHING and his opponent pulled out of the fight in like the last 2 days. he deserves some kind of compensation

They need to pay a stand-in fighter for the top two or three main card fights to go through a camp in case a fight needs to be saved at the last minute. Pay 'em 40 - 50% of their show money, and their full purse if they have to step in and fight. Problem solved, sheesh.

But it wasn't FUBAR. Another fighter was ready & a fight was offered. It was a huge opportunity for Brian to consolidate his standing with the company he works for. Now he's in limbo.

He has Anderson's manager but he ain't no Anderson, he's just a guy without a belt.

I like Ortega, I also love Jon Jones. If you won't fight a late notice guy, you should at least make weight if you want to get paid. He's entitled.

oh look another idiot. Yes, you need to continue to step up in big spots. Now there's no champ to fight anyway. The champ is having issues.

Right now he's remembered for ducking whatever his reasons he wasn't confident he could win against #6. He could of helped the card out big time too. So sad.

Not really. Only get paid when you fight. Sucks he had to spend the time and money but the option to fight was there. The other option is wait for the title and get nothing.

If you want to be the best, there's just certain things you have to do, one of those being you accept any fight at any time. He doesn't deserve payment, IMO.
