The result was insane. Working class wards with people who had never voted before, were in some areas like parts of Essex, having turnouts of about 80%.

Now looks like both of the major party leaders are going to be gone by the end of the year.
The silent chavs in UK has spoken. These fvckers dont normally vote.....but last few years they have seen eastern europeans come in and take most of the warehouse/factory jobs and unemployment among the low skilled brits is going up big time

What would you fancy calling it? the PMTU, or Póg Mo Thóin Union. :D

no, I dont hate Alex Salmond. he represents Scotland well at westminster. creating your own conspiracy theory about that being his plan all along is just that, a conspiracy theory. he planned to make Scotland independent. when he failed he stood for election to represent us at a UK level. I dont get what is so wrong about that?

His whole campaign was blaming the politicians at Westminster for everything. Now he's working there, and nobody there has a problem with that. You don't think that's a little strange?

Don't young people like to protest globalization? So how come they're crying about Brexit and blaming it on cranky old racists?

his whole campaign was based around taking control of our own future, making our own decisions for the best of our country. you are just stating nonsense by saying otherwise

Nope. I watched both political debates in full and he looked like a bumbling idiot. He had no policies and try to blag it. He used far more 'scare tactics' than the no campaign did. It was an insult to the people of Scotland and it lost him the refferendum. He was winning in the opinion polls before that.

Your bias clouds your judgement. You watched the campaign as a Scottish nationalist who blames everything on the English and wants independence because FREEEEEDOM!!!!! I watched it with an open mind, wanting to see what both parties had to say and deduced that Salmond was an idiot and had nothing to offer the debate. A view shared by a lot of Scots.

you are just making shit up, its actually sad. the scottish independence movement was the most positive political campaign in UK history. but they just spent the entire time blaming westminster for all our problems apparently

this is getting boring now, you're just repeating the same nonsense you were spouting earlier

I was thinking of that poster specifically. I have never seen him post anything else than what you mention. Lowbrow "meme" pictures and idiotic videos, and he doesn't even add commentary to it, he just post it en masse. He went apeshit on me, because I pointed out how retarded a video he posted was. I don't think he even watches them himself.

The decline of the WR, is probably because of the increasing popularity of idiotic right wing topics.
I'm not Voldemort or Candyman. I won't magically appear and kill you if you mention my name.

Our typical song and dance is that I make a post, you reply (sometimes with good points), I disagree, and you call me a racist/xenophobe/Islamophobe/bigot/far right wing lunatic because I had the audacity to disagree with you. Then you realize how vacuous and/or sophist your position or argument is and feign intellectual outrage at the thought that someone might have a difference of opinion before fleeing the thread. It happens all the time.

how is democratic if every region in Scotland voted remain, yet we are still being taken out of the EU?

Because you are a part of Great Britain. You even recently voted to remain in GB so it's not like you're stuck there against your collective will. In a democracy there will always be groups or regions that don't get their will since there's no issue where everyone wants the exact same thing.

As I said, I share your disappointment with the result. It's a bad move at this time. But it wasn't undemocratic.
