Brendan Schaub fans

I can’t stand nor i can’t listen to the guy at all, from his standup comedy to his fight breakdowns... That said, he made it because he grinded hard and believed in himself. I respect that and i truly love when a fighter finds another way to cash in besides beating his brains into a nasty cte.

is anyone willing to admit they are actually a fan of his.

I'm a fan, Schaub is a baller and millionaire, ya'll just hating in your mom's basement

<BC1>

I don't really like him, but the hate for him is a bit weird

He obviously has some type of likeability, it's not like everyone that goes on the JRE show is able to go off and make millions podcasting

He has hustle but I am constantly annoyed by him.

There isn't much to be a fan of, to be honest. He was a mediocre fighter, and pretty mediocre at everything else too. There is nothing he does that i could say "yeah, he is great at that". He is a pretty intelectually average human being that happens to be friends with Joe Rogan. Take that friendship away and nobody would hear about Brendan. That being said, i don't particularly hate him and sometimes even agree with what he says.

I only like Schaub on JRE as a guest, he's fun with Joe to keep him in check

I'm a fan, and not ironically. Like "Hes so stupid it's funny to me"
No, not like that. I sincerely enjoy him bc I grew up around sports and jocks and meatheads. And I think hes essentially harmless for the type of venom ppl spew in his direction.

He helped pay for ray Borgs kids medical bills just bc he could and that should cancel out whatever petty grievances fight fans hold against him.

I don't hate him, I just think he's a mediocre fighter and a sub par comedian and he says really stupid shit when on podcasts. He's kind of equivalent to the door guy at Walmart. I don't hate the door guy at Walmart. If he hadn't been in front of me I wouldn't even know he existed and that's not a great reason to hate someone. Its also a dumb reason to be a fan. "Hey! There's a guy in front of me. He's not doing anything special or memorable. I really like that guy!" Yeah... No.

With all the hate this guy receives on this forum, is anyone willing to admit they are actually a fan of his.
I will be brave enough on this forum to admit that I am fan. I didn't care for him on TUF but I started to listen to him on the fighter and the kid. I began because I was a fan of Brian Called and the duo makes for good comedy IMO. Grant it Schaub does say some dumb stuff but thats what makes it funny.
Rogan calling him out was a great showing of what a good friend is. Joe made Schaub what he is today for the most part.
His comedy special sucked but I give him a pass based on his time in the game. The King and the Sting isn't for me but I enjoy TFATK and the Below the belt podcast.

So anyone else willing to admit on Sherdog that they are a fan of Schaub.

I feel like I asking to get flamed as bad the "Me and my boys from Jersey" guy lol.
I'm glad i'm too busy working and living my life (going to the beach today) to have time to watch Schaub.

Schaub's spinning elbow that rocked Rothwell was a thing of beauty.

It's impressive how Schaub has turned his life around. From a failed football player / mediocre fighter into a millionaire with a successful business and a large fanbase.

also got hot babe

Not a fan, not a hater. I listen to his podcasts sometimes. Its hard to do podcast, and be mainly "loved" person usually all podcast hosts are hated. Its unique format and you are allowed to express yourself or give an opinion on bunch of different topics. And when you say your opinion on a lot of different topics, more people will disagree with you. For example those who agree with you on MMA stuff maybe will disagree on politics and vice versa. And lets face it, we dislike people more when they disagree with us than like when they agree with us, because we think its right.
But IMO his main problem is that he sometimes doesnt have guts to defend his stance or he change his opinion completely, even tho its obvious that he thinks differently(mainly with Joe).. But thing thats separating him from other podcasts that he was a COMPETITIVE fighter and he knows how it feels, he has credibility and right to say some things, whether you like it or not. What people sometimes say to Joe " oh who you are to judge you never stepped inside the octagon to fight"

I didn't really like him on TUF and through most of his UFC run, but at a point he turned me around a bit when I started to see more of him outside of the cage (like on JRE), and he came off like a somewhat down to earth guy you'd talk some shit and have some beers with. He's always said some dumb stuff but it wasn't too bad back then. Then I think as he started to get popular outside of fighting he became more and more obnoxious, and it made him less and less tolerable. I would never go so far as to say I hate the guy, and I'll still catch him now and then when there's a fight companion (I don't even know why I still watch those things haha) or something, but I find his shtick tired, his breakdowns (and comedy, from what I've seen) terrible, and his general disposition to just be kinda grating. He also frequently does something that really annoys the shit out of me: confidently states his opinions as if they're facts. He will literally state shit matter-of-factly that he clearly didn't verify at all, and double down when challenged on it. There are a lot of aspects of him that I think he just plays up as part of his "gimmick," but whenever he does that in particular it just comes off to me like that aspect of him doesn't change when the cameras/mics are off.

He clearly got a lot out of being Rogan's friend, but the dude is still a hard worker and did the right things to take advantage of those benefits. Can't be mad at him for that. And regardless of Rogan he wouldn't have gotten to where he is if there wasn't an audience for who he is and what he does. I'm just not it.

Sometimes I watch some clips of his podcast on Instagram. I think he is a nice guy. He doesn't deserve all the hate here he is not a bad person, just a little bit stupid.

Yet, he is doing really cool stuff. So maybe, are all the people hating a little bit stupid.

Me too, huge fan of schuab. Like that time he fought big nog, that was great. Or when he fought big ben, good times.. the best tho, was when joe joe had his big talk with him. But foreal, he grew on me for a bit but his know it all demeanor and bully tendencies to callen are real gross
