Breaking: Trump to name Gov. Mike Pence as V.P.

A Donald Trump campaign stop in Indiana scheduled for Tuesday is raising speculation that the presumptive Republican nominee will announce Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate.

The Washington Times reported Sunday evening that Pence has a “95 percent probability” of being Trump's choice, according to sources close to the campaign and to the governor.

Trump has said he will make an announcement before the Republican National Convention, which begins on July 18. Pence, who is seeking reelection to a second term as governor, would have to withdraw from that contest by noon on July 15 if he’s going to run as Trump’s vice president.

Former Trump adviser Michael Caputo said Sunday he's putting all his chips on an announcement at the event next week.

"Right guy. Right timing. Right place #TrumpPence2016,” he tweeted.

Can't believe a social liberal like Trump would align himself with a guy who holds ultra-conservative positions on LGBT issues. He will invite the wrath of a very powerful, vocal, well organized community that, currently, has no beef with him.

A Pence running mate may also turn off a lot of independents who may have otherwise supported Trump, having seen him as, potentially, a "new kind" of republican.

He should go with General Flynn. Flynn could potentially ease people's fears about Trump's capacity to be COC and is, himself, like Trump, a social liberal/libertarian.

It's funny people still ask this question. Out of the sea of politicians, the nominee is the entertainer. Who knew the key to the Republican nomination was to say you were against the establishment. It doesn't even matter that you have no political experience.

Pence is supposed to be a conservative. Trump isn't really a conservative. So this might get some conservative voters.
