It would be interesting for the best fighter in the world to be outside of the UFC because he doesn't comply with their drug testing program. That's never happened before.

No he's not. He got KO'd in the first round by the best MW in the world at the time. Vitor always came up short in his biggest fights. He did the same against Couture back in 1998 or whenever they fought for the title, and against Jones, Sak, Tito, etc.

Vitor came up short in his biggest fights against modern (post-Abbott) level competition. TRT Vitor did not. I do think that Vitor was on and off steroids his entire career but he had to cycle them. When he could just cruise... you had a guy round 1 SPINNING HEEL KICKing Luke Rockhold to end the fight. Launching Hendo into the air with an uppercut. Headkicking the guy who was eventually the MW champ in round 1. Prime non-TRT Vitor could not do those things. Also, more importantly, TRTor has 5 round cardio. Did not gas against Jones. Did not slow down as the fight went on.

Well, he was. He's pretty fucking old now, so I highly doubt he'll be half the monster he was back in 2013 where I think most would agree he was the best MW on the planet.

Well, aging, until you're in your 50s has like 3 aspects:

1) injuries
2) hormones
3) reflexes and degraded brain

In your 30s and even early 40s, it's almost 100% #2 and #1. If you can avoid #1 and supplement #2..

By the way, Jones being 30 now and a drug user, I think his decline is going to come fast because of #3. He's remarkably resistant to injury and his pure physicality will help with #2. But he's going to be unable to supplement #2 like most fighters because of his recent troubles and the drugs will fuck his #3.
