He came from a Mormon upbringing which being gay is not tolerated (which explains why his parents claim to have met her in Hawaii, they knew he was gay but tried to "pray the gay away" and pretend he had a gf).

Went to a big Catholic school, the Mormons couldn't get the gay out of him, why not give the Catholics a shot. Which is also why Notre Dame is all in on backing him, they would rather claim their AD was dating a 15 yr old girl than admit that their star LB with a great story was actually gay.

If this academic all-american from a so-called "top notch" school was fooled by some internet scam that has now "stolen his trust in humanity", then I am the fucking king of Mars.

Notre Dam isn't really the kind of school to pray away the gay... in fact, Catholics aren't really those kind of folks in general. If this were a large baptist school, I'd give it up.

To some extent, he is complicit. He's already been caught lying about the specifics.
 
His teammates apparently said he was banging other chicks the whole time. Either they're covering for him too, or he was a part of the hoax and did it for publicity until it backfired.

The best part about this story is that there is really no victim, nobody was really hurt, no damage was done, no drunken stabbing or homeless guy killed while drunk driving, it is just the most bizarre story to resonate out of college football ever...
 
This is a frustrating story to watch on the news, another case when there are glaring questions that need to be answered in order to determine who is lying.

Either there is a woman involved, which would be much more interesting than the ugly dude they are trying to pin it on, or he was doing a woman's voice.. which I do not see coming from that dude.

The news cannot just say poor Teo was hoaxed and that some dude hoaxed him, without explaining why Teo said he talked to a female every night for hours, met her etc.

Keep digging, media, you've done a shitty job on this one so far.
