Breaking Down The FREAK Brock Lesnar: Part 1 - Structural Anatomy

What about his arsenal of techniques?

Um...what the hell? I always thought WWE was homoerotic but this is downright homersexual.

why did this need to include discussions of race at all? Just discuss body types.
Because, I hate to break it to you, but racial makeup affects bodytype a lot. Did it burt your little butt that he said "black guy?" Report it, QUICK!

He hasn't put as much time into his calves

The first thing I notice about Brock, in that picture is the sheer length of his pecs. They're very tall, low reaching...and droopy.

I can't un-see it now. Why are his pecs so tall ?

He's also one of the few dudes who has that what-cha-m'-call-it muscle dominating their pecs when they flex. Like is that even a unique muscle everyone has ? Or are his pecs just separated in two, like seriously, how many people have this strip of muscle ?

Cliffs: Brocks pecs are weird.

everone's pectoral muscles have what i call striations (basically horizontal lines) you just can't see them. in me when i was young you could see several rows of striations because i had such low body fat. how many muscle groups are in your chest i dunno. maybe 2? what the striations really are, i dunno either!

also, although i agree his pecs are a very large part of his torso, i think you also get a bit of an optical illusion because his deltoids are so big. measure from his collarbone is more realisic.

Did Brock's performance against Hunt really inspired that much confidence from you guys that he would be able to do the same thing to the other top MMA fighters? By the vocabularies used by some of you guys, like "once in a life time", "freak athlete," even analyzing his body type, I picture some sort of unstoppable force demolishing everybody in his path, but in reality that's not the case at all,,, Honestly, I see Brock doing the Bob Sapp if he's to fight Overeem, Cain, JDS, and even Stipe and Werdum. Even with "his body type" and having a huge size advantage, he's just average in MMA.

Beating Hunt doesn't make him a world beater... but it doesn't mean nothing either.

In the UFC, Hunt's actually a pretty good dividing line. There are guys who beat Mark Hunt, and there are guys who don't.

Pretty much anyone on the winning side of that equation has a chance to beat anyone else on the winning side of that equation on any given night.

(Stipe, JDS, and Werdum, in practice; Cain and Reem in theory; and now Brock... make of that what you will.)

And pretty much anyone on the losing side of that equation has very little chance of beating anyone on the winning side... with the obvious exception of Reem, who can be KO'd on any given night by a whole host of heavyweights.

Browne, Nelson, Mir, et cetera.

Now consider that Brock has 9 fights in his entire career, and was coming off a 5 year layoff, and maybe you'll understand why people thinks he's a bit of a freak.

LMAO... Structural anatomy ...

You mean he's a freak right ?

That is some in depth insight. I don't know how I didn't see it before.

I didn't actually read the happy horseshit in the OP. But I took flyer on what it said.

Yes, he was gifted with a certain body type. And has put in the work to further develop it. I make no judgements about whether he's natty or not.

This is high level dedication to being a Brocksucker.

So Cain must have superhuman fight IQ to wreck Brock with all his structural advantages.

Cliffs: Brocks pecs are weird.

The weird racial phenotype like post that dominated the thread hardly touched on what really makes Brock a freak. It's not just long legs and arms like a black man (every good rower is built long like jones), but a colossal (Northern European) frame.
Huge bones and joints with gorilla muscle shape and attachments. As you mentioned look at his pecs size and shape. Long, full and thick. Clear delineation of the upper and lower pecs. Look to his wide and thick clavicles, giving him ridiculous shoulder strength.

Ancient Romans would speak of fighting hulking barbarians in the frozen north, muscles hanging obscenely of seemingly inhuman frames. The Germanic people's were never conquered, and the blood of his ancestors flows strong in Brock.

Lesnar is an American xyy. Socially different and physically dominant. Only thing that makes him exceptional is his upbringing, which means lots of protein and a sense of direction from amateur wrestling when was young. That is what makes him a beast incarnate.

The Romans conquered them, actually.

The Romans conquered them, actually.

They conquered SOME of them but where unable to push much past the Rhine. That was Lesnar terrain, primeval forest, no place for the Legions.

Imagine having to occupy a Black Forrest full of Lesnars, armed only with an Iron Age load out. Not worth it, not even when you own more than half of the known world.

Perhaps a "bit of a freak," I can somewhat take. But not to the freakish level that is oozing out of some ppl here. That's just false advertising.

The real freaks, imo, are the smaller guys who thrashed Brock.

So TS, does brock get you hard? That's the real question here.

What's funny about the JDS gif that was intended to discredit Brock, actually proves how he is a superior physical athlete.

Not only was Brock sick at that point, some people are overlooking the details of the race. Brock won the part of the race that was speed, agility, & power. The reason JDS ended up winning the race was because of the football throwing & kicking section. So Brock won the sections that had any relevancy to fighting, even while sick.

Anything having to do with body movements has to do with fighting, no? Throwing and kicking a ball accurately and competently means one has better co-ordinations and techniques, hence JDS can throw a wicked overhand right and a reverse roundhouse kick whereas Brock did the back fist shield smash instead.
