Breakdown of Ngannou open boxing session

It's an exhibition bout. It means nothing. Fury will just outbox him & not throw any hard shots, and Ngannou won't try to KO him.
It's now an exhibition bout? That's not what they were saying previously. Yeah, Fury will school him but we've seen exhibitions end in knockouts. It certainly didn't stop Belfort from stopping a geriatric Holyfield.

I've been saying this since the Gane fight. He couldn't even land on Gane, why on earth would anyone think he's gonna land on Fury? He's a bad boxer. He just has big power and 4 oz gloves in MMA. He's getting slept in the first if Fury wants.
And here's the part these fan boys don't understand. What's Francis' worth once he gets absolutely clowned?
How does the PFL market him after that? Who does he even fight after that??
People are really gonna realize that this was a very short sighted move on his part.

Yup. I like Big Frank and I really hope he makes so much from the beating he's gonna get that his career wont matter afterwards.
Maybe they can feed him cans in PFL to KO violently but he'll still be remembered as that guy that got tooled in the first by Fury.

I don't think Ngannou cares now about money but more about not having regret to the one thing he always wanted to do, have to remember it was his first coach that talked him into MMA.

Didn't Fury express interest in an MMA fight? Maybe that's something they're working on behind the scenes.

Yeah Francis looks slow and pretty bad technically, did anyone expect anything different? Francis Hail Mary shot is a KO from a brawling type shot, that’s how he wins in mma too he’s not a super technical guy. I’m curious to see if tyson is going to clinch and put his weight on Francis like he did wilder, frank has got to be coming in 270+ right? Of course tyson probably won’t even need to wear on him to tire him out, Francis will probably be gassed after hitting air for 3 rounds

I would ditch all of this. Drill only defensive techniques and just tell Francis to have at it. Windmill style like in his mma fights. Honestly it would be more likely to work.
Agreed, Francis isn’t going to turn into lomachenko over night, he might as well go for broke and stick to what brought him to the dance

As slick as fury is he is partial to catching a windmill albeit by a far superior boxer than Francis.
Ngannous only shot is to do what he does. Stay unorthodox in there. Mma punching

He occasionally loses focus and switches off for a split second but he's also had fights in which he hasn't. Given his resilience so far he's been able to afford having those lapses. He'll get floored and get back up. He's done it over and over again. Maybe someday he won't get back up but I very much doubt Ngannou will be the guy that managed it. As far as the 'MMA punching' is concerned Fury's camp is based around it. He's been sparring MMA fighters because that's what Ngannou is.

Francis has nothing to lose really, he just has to make it ugly and throw whatever punches you can in bunches and hopefully it lands. Technique is out of the window for Francis.
Yeah, trying to outdo a technician like Fury at his own game just isn't going to happen. He has to make it rough & ugly. Maybe even a little bit dirty. Look to force exchanges in the process as waiting on Fury to finish punching isn't a good strategy. He'll have to mix it up and punch with him if he intends to land with any sort of consistency. That's his best bet.

I totally agree, if he boxes like the traditional style. He'll be easily read by Tyson Fury. It would be like reading a children's book. Ngannou is too predictable boxing in traditional style. So he has to make it rough, ugly and somewhat dirty as you said. He has to be awkward and unpredictable at times. He just has to let those punches go and hopefully like I said one lands or two flush anything can happen.

Can't wait to see this spectacle of an event happen. It will be fascinating how it will materialize.

Tyson has been hitting pads since he was a kid, of course he does sir.
There is something about the way that Mike Tyson turns his hips on his hooks and upper cuts that is very special and results in a tremendous amount of power.

And I've seen a lot of boxers and I don't feel like I've seen very many who could do it like he can.

Dude was special. Not without his flaws, but quite the physical specimen with a boxing encyclopedia on his shoulders.

I dont think that would be enough.

I can think of one path to victory and one only for Francis. And it requires tyson to make a huge mistake, but realistically i don't see any other way.

Plan:

Lul Fury into a "sparring match" and a false sense of security. Let tyson think he is "carrying the bum" to give the fans a show.

Then basically sucker punch him.
Maybe round 3.

Get him used to a specific pattern like only hooks to the body in the clinch and out of nowhere when he feels relaxed hit him with an overhand right or heavy heavy uppercut, maybe even pull down on the neck a la Lennox vs Michael Grant

And thats still a longshot, and would only work if Tyson falls for it and even then might not work. Probably also Fury needs to be injured and lazy and not put in much of a camp.

But Francis ain't gonna out box him.
Even fat fury still probably has better boxing conditioning so getting Fury tired is unlikely.
Francis is very stiff so speed wont work.

I agree it has to be dirty. But Fury is good at dirty fighting too. And has actual boxing experience with it.

Fury is gonna win easy, but it would be goddamn hilarious if the Usyk fight gets fucked up because ngannou manages to pull a buster douglas.

only if he comes unfocused and disheveled like wilder #3 or coming off major weight loss and a crack binge like wilder #1 .. focused, ready to kill(wilder fury #2) won't get caught like that

Oh for sure, not many even have the physical capabilities to turn like that.
He is a unicorn in that aspect, and he had a great teacher.

I miss watching him fight, it was like watching fireworks go off... beautiful and violent.

How you feeling sir?

Shoulder feels like shit and it is setting in that this is what I am stuck with for the forseeable future.

By around 2-3 PM pain meds kick in and make life a bit more tolerable but it is fucking rough all morning and whenever i move my right arm shit pops clicks and grinds at a level audible in the room.

Managed to get high and do a little work in my music studio yesterday. Nothing spectacular but it was nice to plug into that headspace even for a brief bit.

Writing music as a piano player without use of a right arm kind of feels like boxing with one hand tied behind my back. I'm pretty solid with baselines on my left hand and don't have problems comping chords, or things like that, but it takes away- Probably my most effective tool by not being able to use my right hand to improvise melodies. Yes, I can do that in my head... But it feels like a chore and taking the long route to Somewhere Not Too Far Away.
