I hate my self for even thinking about buying a Shelby 500 GT Mustang.

after years of Loyalty to GM. But those bastards at GM have overpriced the Corvette Stingray, and the ZL1 Camaro, my other option the SRT Hellcat is too out of my government pay scale so..

for the first time I started looking at 2011 GT 500 Cobras....and I like em...I like the price even more esp for 500 horsepower.....am I a Traitor?

ill seriously take you guys opinions to heart I already have a Silverado can a Chevy and a Ford even share the same driveway?

Chevy, Ford...whichever one gives me the best bang for the buck wins. That includes getting them to remove their symbols at no charge, or pay me to do advertising for them.

5 fords and 3 chevs later I still have no preference.

I am neither rich nor por...but to some I would seem rich to some I would seem poor all a matter of perspective. I ive just noticed 2009 through 2011 Shelby GT 500's seem to be reasonably priced albeit with a few miles. ZL1 Camaros, and Vettes would still assault my bottom line.. I just want to know if im a car version of Benedict Arnold if I switch to Ford after all these decades of Loyalty to GM

The C7 is over priced? Compared to what?

Are you talking about getting a used GT500. Because there isn't a GT500 currently offered. Are you talking about the new GT350?

If you are thinking used compare to used ZL1 or C6Z or C6GS.

Btw don't just look at horse power. Look at actual numbers. The C7 and C6 is down on power to the old gt500 (models you are talking about, not the 662 hp model) and still beat it on a track and straight line.

Even the new gt350 with 90 more horsepower would be a driver's race to an old grand sport. The GS has a quicker 0-60, similar 1/4 mile, similar skid pad(there are most tests of the GS but the gs is actually higher from the few tests I've read), similar 70-0 braking.

There aren't many good ones but our sports cars(and a couple luxury sport) are excellent for the price. I almost hate saying the "for the price" but it's because others compare them to more/much more expensive cars.
