Not enough is being said about this. Frankie was all the talk of the town going into this fight. Most of the media seemed convinced it was his time (as did the forums). Edgar was the supposed McGregor killer at FW (I still think he could have been stylewise) but Aldo straight up shut everyone up. Especially after getting all that hate post Mcgregor loss.

Right now people be pretending like Edgar never even was a thing with their silence. It's like dude's just wanna be quiet about it and let some time pass. Aldo straight up served a large portion of the MMA world. Edgar had how many wins in a row? Knocked out Mendes in one round you say? A streak of how many years? Didn't matter in the end.

Aldo did something amazing. Not sure Conor would have been able to defend those takedowns like that. That was one of the more dominant cruise controls I've witnessed outside of Dominick Cruz.

Yea it was pretty great performance by Aldo but I was never as high on Frankie as everyone else was. He cruised past Faber but never looked great really. He beat down Cub but then Max Holloway did it even better IMO and so it kind of just made Cub look not as good as we thought. His win again BJ meant nothing. It was a five fight win streak with two fights that should have never happened. Either way great win by Aldo I was only worried about Aldo because sometimes your chin never recovers after a KO like the one he had against Connor but looks like he's fine.

In all fairness, Frankie went from KO'ing Mendes who we can all say is elite after pummelling Aldo's face like no other has, but for Frankie to barely grazing Aldo's face! Looking at it now, I realised, Aldo actually did a fnatastic job of defending everything. His output was low, and Frankie still couldn't do no real damage.

I picked Edgar, but Aldo put on a great performance. Soon I expect it to be announced that Aldo is the legit champ at FW. Shortly after 202.
