Hi all,
Newbie to the forum, not a newbie to fighting. Which shoes do you guys recommend for TBX around the $100 range? As i said, I've trained in Boxing and Muay Thai with my grandfather when I was 13, but I did it barefoot. He said it was to toughen up my bones, but I think he was just trying to break me. Anyway, I've tried my running shoes but I nearly busted my ankles several times, no I go barefoot, and sometimes the floor mats are just gross with sweat from previous workouts.
I understand not everyone likes TBX. But I guess it depends on where you go. I trained a lot as a teen, but years of stupidity, drugs and injuries (mostly knee and shoulder...both on my left side) over 20 years brought my weight to 310 last year. Since I joined around Sept 2015, I've lost 40 pounds. They offer personal training there and the guy I train with specializes in Muay Thai and he trained with Master Thong, Uriah Faber's trainer (he proved it with photos) and trains all the time so he's legit.
Anyway, thanks!
