a 22 year old 17-0 prospect was given a "bum" with a 4 fight lose streak in his hometown and gets KTFO

Not much of a prospect if he got flatlined by that weak crap.

Ruiz fought for the Ibf title. Not somebody I’d describe as a bum

There are some sad faces around that camp :(

The ring is a great lie detector.

Hah this guy had KO'd 5 of his previous 32 opponents (not including TKO). As in KO out cold. He's basically a KO artist for that division and that punch was thrown from the hip long like a baseball swing and connected right on the button.

Let's not confuse bums with journeymen.

Yea this was a big deal for South Philly apparently and this guy fucked it up

frankly an awful knockout. i’d be surprised if he comes back from that.

Looked like a weak ass punch at first, but after a few rewatches, his opponent winds up all the way from his hip and it lands square. Dude was out COLD with his feet twitching. Scary shit.

Thats 1 Ruiz that surprised last night, lets hope the other Ruiz does the same tonight too

Those are the types of Ko’s that gives a solid chinned guy a shaky one for the rest of his career, legs shaking and everything, scary...

No fucking shit

Its very rare that a young fighter comes back and makes something meaningful out of his career after getting stopped like that, especially early in their career, sucks.

Sweet punch. Gloves could have been higher from the prospect.

Itll be a good learning experience for him.

Very rare indeed. In retrospect going back like 23 years to Pacman/Torrecampo can you find an example of someone being KO’d bad early on to make a career for themselves. But haven’t seen too many cases.
