Last Saturday's boxing match between Tank Davis & Ryan Garcia did 1.2 million PPV buys and had a gate of $22.8 million
The 2 highest UFC's gates were McGregor vs Alvarez in NYC and McGregor vs Khabib in Vegas.
Both sports are amazing but it's clear that worldwide Boxing is still more popular than MMA. A big Boxing fight will always be bigger than anything MMA can produce. Boxing is filled with more genuine characters while UFC guys play roles like in the WWE.

Somewhat surprisingly, Conor McGregor's fight with Eddie Alvarez on November 12th 2016 is currently the biggest live gate in UFC history. The event took place at UFC 205 in Madison Square Garden in New York and brought in $17,700,000 in ticket sales.
Khabib Nurmagomedov versus Conor McGregor at UFC 229 comes in at second place all-time in terms of biggest gates. The fierce rivals squared off on October 6th 2018 and generated $17,200,000 in ticket sales at the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas.
