there are more exceptions than that. I could give you another ten names, but thats besides the point. I'm not aware of any MMA turned world boxing champion.

Ryoto Murata said Tenshin Nasukawa could be world boxing champion if he put his time into it. Same goes for Petrosyan, Koya Urabe or many thais crossing over from muay thai to kickboxing.
