very close fight imo.. not much action though but i hope the judges will apreciate Vanes is at least trying to make it a fight

adding a bit to Vanes +400.. could be a draw or either fighter ahead by a round at this point

ugh what a fucking nutty ref... that most likely cost Vanes the fight

Meeehhhhh, only bet I regret tonight is the Lara/Vanes fight ending itd. Lara Dec was by far the most likely outcome but still think Vanes at +660 had value. Don't regret Trout as a big dog either, he made that fight close, many people thought he edged it or at least deserved a draw.

Hit Jermell itd and Jermall/Trout fight goes distance and Not Jermall itd. Happy with those, in the black can't ask for a whole lot more. Just wish Vanes or Trout got the nod since they were such good odds. Oh well still a solid day. Hope most of you guys made out okay. On to the next one!

Put £81 on Haye in r1 or r2 +100 (that amount rounded my br total nicely).

Hope you all did well.

Solid card next sat for boxing ricky burns in scotland. Couple of good looking decision fights.

Tony Bellew fights next sunday night oddly in uk so ufc will follow straight on from that

Besides the UK cards, there's also a FS1 card on Saturday with one boxer Miguel Vazquez coming up in weight from lightweight to super lightweight and one in Erick Bone coming down from welterweight on shorter notice. Plus Shane Mosley fighting for a piece of the welterweight title on CBS SN against David Avanesyan.

i'll be interested in the Vasquez/Bone line. It's depressing Shane is still fighting. He's a shell of his former self and obviously punch drunk.

Anyone clued up on Bellews opponent? Has he fought decent fighters? Has he ever been anywhere near a 12th round? Bellew KO +500 and dec +225. Considering a bet on his opponent by KO @ +120 and hedge with Bellew dec and KO.

goat-mayweather rumoured for september

My intel is, Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather is going to happen. It changed late last week. Got a call, then somebody else sent me something yesterday and Saturday. We book rooms in Vegas. (This happens) in September.

Back from Moscow, had a bit of luck attending the bronze medal game of the ice hockey worlds, thought it would likely be Finland-Czech Republic when I booked but due to a couple of upsets it was Russia-USA (Russia won 7-2) so I got a flavour of what the atmosphere would have been like had Povetkin-Wilder gone ahead.

Probably a bit unlucky with Kalenga-Dorticos on Friday. Kalenga survived Dorticos' early onslaught which I thought would be the key and then seemed to have turned the tide with his greater experience but Dorticos rallied to score the late stoppage.

Don't really rate Bellew, he's European level not world class. Weighing up whether to play Makubu ml or by KO. Normally I would take the KO odds but with Bellew fighting at his soccer team's stadium, he will be really fired up and might tough it out. But I think Makubu takes this.

Some mid-week action in China tomorrow: taking undefeated IBF flyweight champion Amnat Ruenroeng at -215 to win again in the rematch vs Filipino challenger John Riel Casimero. It was a foul-filled fight in 2015 the first time around in Thailand with Ruenroeng grabbing his opponent and throwing him around the ring and even pushing him down a lot which the referee mostly let him get away with except for a late point deduction in round 11. The champion scored two knockdowns in the fight and got the benefit of one of his own being ruled a slip and won a UD. Even with better refereeing, and a more fair fight Ruenroeng has a very awkward style to box and from what I see Casimero isn't the guy to beat him.

Amnat Ruenroeng (-215) vs John Riel Casimero $215.00 for $100.00

Their first fight:

Agree re your Bellew comments. Has Makubu fought a decent level of comp tho? And has he ever been 10 rounds let alone 12? Mak dec is +500.

Sorry man, just woke up and checked BoxRec and apparently Ruenroeng got KO'ed in the 4th in his first loss ever! I should have went with the dog around +170 in a close fight like this. Maybe age caught up with Ruenroeng or a more heavy handed referee prevented him from clinching and opened up his otherwise porous defense too much. Going to have to catch this later on YouTube.

No worries, these things happens. Unibet first corrected it as a win so I was all happy til I saw your post and I had to double check. They changed it. :(

According to what I just read online Ruenroeng pretty clearly won the first three rounds before getting caught with a punch to the chin coming in & hurt during the fourth and then knocked down & out with a vicious body shot. I almost went with the dog just from reading about the first fight and the plans for the rematch in China. Then when I actually watched the whole bout yesterday I switched. Maybe I should stick with half-assed BoxRec capping instead of video!
