Boxing Discussion VIII

Whenever I bet boxing I appreciate Sal D’Amato a bit more.

What do you guys think of Taylor by finish at +225?

That’s what I am thinking. Teo is in a bad place mentally. He has been knocked down multiple times by smaller men than Taylor and Taylor is good at a distance and fighting in close. I think Taylor has enough pop to hurt and finish Teo.

Ya I agree, Taylor is the biggest guy at 140, he's huge and will grit his teeth when get into dog fights with no issue. Unless he's super drained and is chinny he should get a late stoppage or a clear decision.

Teo seems to have problems with southpaws. Taylor on paper is the biggest best one he’s faced yet.
The more I look into it, the more I favor Taylor. I should have got the odds when the line opened. Moving heavy towards Taylor the last few weeks.

I got that totally wrong. Lopez looked great. Good thing for live betting. I should live bet only. I do so much better live betting boxing.

Teo was evens after about round 6-7. Incredible really

Live betting barely available down under but that and Munguia/Derev had some pretty wild swings. Good opportunities

I think it was after the 5th round that I got good odds on Lopez by decision. You could see him taking momentum as Taylor was starting look flat. It turned out to be a really good night (although I lost betting on Derev by decision).

Derev was in full control for a while. I'd have live-bet him too even though it was unlikely judges gave him a decision win

Can't wait for Munguia reign to end. He's pathetic with the fights he gets

Berlanga O4.5 is sitting a little over evens. Wondering if that’s worth a punt

Canelo 1.56 v Mell is nuts. Loaded as much as i could get matched on BF and will continue to take as much as possible above 1.50

Going up 2 weight classes v a guy whos fought at LHW and will definitely get judges cards if he goes that far? Take my money

In translation:

He was able to get Canelo Alvarez at -178. The fight will take place at 168 pounds, which means Jermell will need to add an additional 14 pounds to fight Canelo (Jermell usually fights at 154 pounds).

Moreover, this fight will take place on September 30, two weeks after Mexican Independence Day.

Seems like a good spot to take Canelo. He'll win and people will say the reverse of when he fought and lost to Bivol at a much higher weight class. Jermell will get a big payday and jelust go back to two weight classes and still be the unified champion and he'll only be respected more for losing to Canelo, because at least "he attempted to do something great," which is the canned response every time someone tries to step up like this and lose in boxing.

Canelo Alvarez -178 seems great if you can get it. It's not available at my book.

Paddy Power affiliate here has him 1.53 or -190 as well
