i don't get it either, i think he's a step up and even if fight happens to be close surely the japanese fighter gets the nod on the scorecards in japan.

I didn't bet any of the fights today, but Roiman Villa +500 just won a majority decision. He got 2 knock downs in Round 12.

he gassed out for sure, but the fight was 2019, that is a long time. He had Kovalev hurt in that fight. I think he has the power advantage , also he's been more active 5-1 in two years (avenged his loss) vs 3 fights for Beterbiev who is 38 years old.

Kovalev has ever only lost to good fighters, Ward 2x and Canelo, and avenged his lost to Alvarez(other alvarez). So this loss is forgivable.

I notice that Anthony doesn't throw as much volume anymore, does better at cardio maintenance. I think he matches well stylistically to Beterbiev. I small sprinkled Anthony, nothing big maybe a mistake but i like the power and youth advantage.
 
I was looking at Yarde TKO / KO at +750.

beterbiev’s age does concern me. I love the line “Father Time is undefeated”

Not really, Beterbiev has always lived a spartan lifestyle, no alcohol or drugs, takes his training very seriously and is always in the gym. It's crazy how quickly he can break people, truly terrifying fighter. He may lose in the coming years if he really drops off, only guy that has a shot is Bivol atm, Yarde isn't the guy to do it. The competition isn't even comparable either, Yarde broke to old ass Kovalev. Beterbiev would retire him if he shows up in any way like that. He just wiped the floor against a much scarier fighter than Yarde in 2 rounds.

he does look more technical on the feet. just trying to bank on him being shot. he did get kd by Callum, Yarde i do believe hits slightly harder than Joe. those body punches look devastating , also the activity factor . Beterbiev has been less active. Im still leaning Beterbiev 60/40 but i like the odds here for a guy with a near 100% ko ratio.

Don't bank on the activity, the Smith Jr win alone is better than anything Yarde has done in his whole career. Beterbiev probably has 100s of more amateur fights, dropped Usyk twice in the amateurs at HW, the man lives and breathes boxing. The only guy I'd bet against Beterbiev is Bivol, that's as close to 50/50 as it gets. This is 95/5 imo. If you bet Yarde, play his KO cause that's the only way he wins, he's gassy and Beterbiev can go for days.

Ditto. On everything you said. Beterbiev/Bivol will be awesome. I hope it happens before Bivol/Canelo but I doubt it.

I'm going what i see on tape, i think he is a better style matchup, he fights on the inside and likes to rip into the body. I do believe he hits harder than Joe and Beterbiev, while i do think Beterbiev has faster hands, he takes a lot of punishment sometimes and has gotten knocked down not to long ago. this is boxing, a single error could end his night, and Yarde hits hard enough to knock anyone out.
