Adalaide Byrd is basically boxings version of longtime contrarian critic Armond White. If you don't know him, do yourself a favor and look up the reviews he's given out on rotten tomatoes. For instance he was the only person to give the awesome horror/thriller film "Get Out" I am not fresh rating. It was at 100% and his "rotten" review dropped it to a 99 percent on the Tomatometer.

Of the film he said' "Get Out is an attenuated comedy sketch in which serious concerns are debased".

You should see the films he loves lol.

But yea, Byrd has to go. Corrupt ass boxing.

I have no doubt she's taking bribes at this point.

In every other profession on earth youre let go if youre absolutely shit at your job for such a long time. Serious money must be going into the commissions from her corrupt judging

Me too. I hate it. Because I One of boxing and was into it way before I even knew what MMA was. I participated in this sport since I was just a five-year-old kid. I was around it early as my grandpa was always at the VFW where the boxing gym was in the basement. I was watching Sugar Ray Leonard + Hagler + Hearns and Duran during that welterweight era of the aforementioned juggernauts of the game. As an
eight-year-old I had the old Betamax VCR prototypes with all of the early fights of the '80s on them. If anyone knows what a Betamax is LOL Then through the 90s you know, got to watch Evander Holyfield v. Riddick Bowe trilogy, and prime Roy Jones Jr. + Felix Trinidad + ODLH + Sugar Shane. Just all the greats.

Anyway, my point is that there is a lot of nostalgia for me in this sport and I hate that it has come to this. However, while others are clamoring for a rematch — of what was an absolutely scintillating boxing match — I refuse to participate in the charade and corruption.

Bro, the PPV was $100 and you got a barnburner of a fight with an ending that is the outcome equivalent of kissing your sister.


But I'm rambling though cause I am just beside myself with this stupid bitch. Sorry for anyone who lost and hopefully she can be publicly shame from her position since the NSAC Will do nothing.. Until the sport clears itself up, I want no part of it.

Giving just TWO rounds to GGG is like robbing the hometown bank in broad daylight with no mask and while it's filled with your high school classmates.

People say boxing is dying it isn't the fighters fault and people still love boxing. The suits are digging the grave for it though. Many camps have asked to not have Byrd judge their fight but Vegas won't remove her. It's a shambles

But nope, that argument doesn't work hold water because everyone knows what she is and yet they continue to do fights in her territory of Las Vegas. If boxing promoters really cared about incompetent and/or corrupt officials like Adalaide Byrd they'd boycott the strip and hold those mega fights in NYC or LA or NJ or whatever other major city which would LOVE their business.

However, everytime Byrd strikes they put on a little show for the public as they stomp their feet and get pissy, yet they let it blow over and here they are in Las Vegas again and again. In Vegas with Mrs. Byrd sitting ringside with her scorecard and ink pen.

Even if you want to be generous and say that it was 7-5 in favor of GGG then I have no problem as there were a lot of close rounds here and there. Personally I scored 8-4 for the Kazakh. Maybe 7-5 GGG with us being super super generous. ......But to hand in a score card in which you awarded 10 rounds to Canelo Alvarez and only 2 rounds for GGG, you're either or incompetent or corrupt. Given the fact that everyone who has even the most rudimentary knowledge of boxing and the name Adalaide Byrd know if = chaos.

FFS, the fact that everyone in this entire thread was placing their bets with the wager revolving around one specific judge signifies that there says it all.monster problem that should have been dealt with long ago.

Agree. Like I said, if boxing promoters like King, Arum or ODLH
really cared they would boycott Las Vegas and go elsewhere. If they this for every major fight it will force Nevada to have her step down or else not be involved in any significant attractions. The fact that they top promoters refuse to boycott leads me to believe that either they cannot do so because there's something in the shadows controlling the strings or else they are part of the corrupt system.

Ok so I just watched this fight. Didn't know the outcome or anything about the controversy. Also didn't bet on it.


1--3 were clearly Canelo's
11th Canelo

4--7, 9 clearly GGG
8,10 close but still GGG

12th coinflip

So 7-5 at worst for GGG, 8-4 more likely.


I am not a longtime boxing guy but I feel like this sport is corrupt.

Betfair bunch of thieves, I'm bout to call em and tell them to get my money. I didn't lose and I read there T&C's on boxing, says nothing losing your money on the draw.

We just assume bets get refunded when a draw happens because that's how it works in mma. Certainly something to watch out for in the future when putting big stakes on boxing. Must admit it wasn't something I was considering either; luckily bet365 & marathonbet refunded my ML bets, skybet didn't but it didn't leave me out of pocket.

Gotta look out for the draw option next to the ML's next time.

On Fury DEC, have been since lines were released. Also huge on Linares, also been on for months as I posted when PP initially released the lines when the fight was in the works.

May have a few other plays closer to the time but Linares is for sure my best play, confident Fury takes a DEC too.

Kudryashov is chinny and he was exposed in the first fight vs Duradola. I think Dorticos gets this one easily.

Drama at the Fury vs Parker press conference. Parker's promoter David Higgins is angry at a local referee being appointed (Terry O'Connor) for the bout, despite it being part of the BBBofC's standard policy to have a British referee. Hughie's father Peter got into a heated argument with Parker's promoter and is adamant he doesn't care where the referee is from, he just wants his son to win the world title without any claims of him having some sort of bias advantage.

Parker and his trainer both said they have no concerns regarding it. Higgins drew an furious response from Peter Fury and was lead out by security.

I don't expect any 'bias' but interesting that so much is being made of it by Higgins.
