Boxing Discussion VI

Hit Skoglund live at +137 after round 5.

Skoglund's jab is solid, Smith finding it hard to evade it.

Got Skoglund DEC @5.50 a couple of rounds ago, glad I left it to LB this.

What's the consensus on GGG vs Canelo here?

I like Canelo x DEC

GGG is a monster, but at 35 years old maybe getting a bit long in the tooth. He started showing some potential red flags in the Brook and Jacobs fights. A bit sloppier than usual and the body work was absent. Meanwhile, Canelo is dead in his prime and almost a decade younger. I believe that Alvarez has more power than people are believing and I also think his speed and technique or underrated. If the Kazakhstan killer is a prime form tonight, then GGG is in big trouble, but I think that the cinnamon kid makes uses the jab, keeps off the ropes and drags it into deep waters where it favors youth.

The ginger pulls out a close split decision win.

I say split because Adelaide Byrd is one of the judges and who knows what the fuck she sees. Usually the opposite of what everyone else does..

If Canelo avoids any serious power shots within the first 6 I think he wins it convincingly, all I'll say. <GSPWoah>

I'm ready to eat crow and I know how good GGG is and am a fan but I see Canelo beating him up.
GGG has the size but I belive canelo is physically stronger and is still decent when his back is against the ropes.
A lot Younger, quicker, and about matches power.

All in my opinion of course.

Bro, find something else to eat @CR0W is a great poster.

Byrd loves black guys.... You can't even trust scorecards in a fight that bitch is judging, and i think this likely goes the distance.

Worth noting although generally you'd assume Smith would get the advantage on the cards here being the hometown guy it's worth noting that Skoglund's is promoted by the promoters of the WBSS (Sauerland brothers).

Little on draw just in case, I have Skoglund up, would be a big win for me if he does win.

Barring Skoglund getting a knockdown or something crazy this round, I think Callum will probably get the decision.

This could go either way, Skoglund, Smith or Draw...... likely Smith is my guess after the knockdown though.

great fight! looked like Skoglund was taking over in the middle rounds but Smith came back strong again

think i won a couple units on Smith DEC +300 would be surprised if he dont get a clear dec in england.. i am covered with draw and skog dec though

Lost 6u on the Yarde fight, hehe, never fade big powerful prospects again. Still, can't complain after the Dubois fight.
I have left 3u Saunders by unanimous dec @ 2.30 , great price.

Smith gets it, bit wider than I had it but probably did deserve it in the end. Credit to Skoglund, big underdog and came and gave Smith his toughest fight yet, a real war in which Smith will learn from too.
