Mouthwatering match up this weekend - Joel Diaz Jr vs Regis Prograis
Two unbeaten prospects who love to throw down, Prograis uses his range well and unleashes combinations when he boxes his opponent in, been climbing the ranks at Super Lighweight, had him on my radar for some time now.
Diaz started at 126 but has been building over time to 140, has looked impressive doing so but against lesser opponents, he was quite big before his pro career so isn't as undersized as you'd imagine. He's a decent counter puncher and ended his last 7 fights inside the distance.
I'll take Prograis in this @1.66 - he's more polished at this stage, more tools and better defense, Diaz can still make waves in the future but I don't see him taking this one; Prograis retains his belt with a late stoppage.
Also liking Haskins to upset Ryan Burnett @3.80. Haskins' style isn't the most pleasing to watch but he knows what he's doing and has far more experience that Burnett. Burnett hasn't faced any real quality as of yet and he has a bad habit of being inactive during rounds, so providing Haskins can close him down he has a fantastic chance. Stylistically it has the potential to be very boring to watch but given the odds and styles there is clear value in Haskins; even in N. Ireland.
