Freerolled bit more refs/corners love stopping one sided boxing matches

still a good night and hopefully it will get even better with ufc :)

Just checked results. Wow, Frampton won a majority decision? His ML closed on 5D at +345 and 12 round decision line at +476. Nobody hit those?

Degen underdog play on ESPN tonight:

Denis Douglin (+1200) vs David Benavidez $25.00 for $300.00

Will be putting a decent amount on Ward to win between rounds 7-12. @2.25

This is just a fight to keep active, keep any ring rust off in preparation for his showdown with Kovalev. He is literally far superior to Brand in every area. I think he'll use the early rounds to just gain some ring time and work his technique. A decision would be likely but I think he'll go for the finish here to build some more momentum and hype for the Kovalev showdown and he really should be able to finish this when he wants in the later rounds.

I was eyeing dec +175 @ 365.

Was tempted by the decision line but I guess it all depends on whether Ward really wants to use all 12 rounds to get a lot of ring time in etc or whether he wants to get some ring time in and then finish. A decision victory over someone like Brand isn't going to do much to get people hyped for the Kovalev fight.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was a decision but I think he's going to be looking for a finish.

I think Cr0w has a good point with the Ward late stoppage and for once I got a better line:

Andre Ward wins in round 7-12 (+131) vs Alexander Brand $100.00 for $131.00

Which bookie offers that prop?

Agree I think Ward could easily win a Dec here but he's such a high class of fighter that there's gonna come a time where he obviously will choose whether he wants to try to finish this or just cruise to a ud. One thing that people underrate about Dre is his meanness in the ring.

Yeah he's not a huge puncher or ko machine, he's a pure boxer first and foremost, but that guy's a sociopath asshole when it comes to fighting and he's not the type to let off the gas if he has you hurt or even the type to take rds off if he's dominating. He's got too much pride to just let guys win at anything if he can help it. That being said, I;m not advocating a play on either side yet, I still haven't made up my mind, I just think that if he's controlling the fight and landing at will he'll probably look to finish rather than not, imo.

Not saying that's gonna happen for sure, but that's just my .02c on the matter. Brand could be tough enough to get through it too so not really a strong lean here. Leaning towards a stoppage but haven't bet anything yet so not advocating any plays here, just wanted to point out Ward is an asshole (in the ring not in general) and he could very well finish a fight late that he doesn't really needd to if he feels there's a good opportunity to do so.

Floyd-Maidana I? I would have been shitting it, that fight was competitive, could have been scored a draw (and was a majority decision). And Floyd was surely -600-700? Fair play it came off but Maidana did well there.
No... IIRC at some point Floyd was 1.35 (-290) and I dont agree with the fight being possibly a draw. Cant remember which fight was it but I smashed that line (cant get into my bookies from work but I could look up to).
I love Chino Maidana (felloy countryman and amazing person) but he was not going to outpoint or finish Floyd.

Maybe that was the rematch then. Floyd won that one easy and the odds would have better on Floyd than the first fight after Maidana had put up a good show.
