Couple of small underdog plays on Toe-to-Toe Tuesdays on FS1 tonight for some action:

Haskell Rhodes (+300) vs Edner Cherry $66.67 for $200.00
Alexei Collado (+400) vs Omar Douglas $25.00 for $100.00
 
Commentators and everyone in the boxing forum thread thought Rhodes won, even with his ugly and awkward style, but he loses a wide UD.
 
Shafikov up to +190 have to try just based on boxrec and more importently BT is on him too :)
 
+190 is better than anywhere I am seeing on ProBoxingOdds so good line. I bet him for a unit:

Alright, what the hell, with no UFC this weekend I'm in for another unit at that price:

never heard of either of these guys but fuck it. £25 returns £65 on shafikov.
 
looking good so far.. herring basicaly just running around the ring trying to avoid the fight
 
ok fight turned 180 now its just a inside slugfest :D shafikov looks much more comfortable
 
herring taking a beating we should be good unless we see some bullshit robbery
 
always easy to say after but damn i wish i had so much more on shafikov :) i have him winning every round easily and there was even a kd
 
what a beatdown!! in hindsight this was proberly the best line of the year.. only impressive thing about herring is his chin :D

Sorry didn't get to respond to your question Jim, yeah Herring hadn't impressed me before, Shafikov only lost to top level comp, Shafikov durable and good skillset, Herring never been in against anywhere near this level before, etc. Ended up with about 3.5u on Shafikov, after his price kept climbing I had to keep adding more. Feel bad for Herring seems like a nice guy, war vet, tons of heart, but obviously happy he lost too lol. Glad we made money tonight boys :).
