Punching holes in the wall is a really bad idea.

If you are not a boxer then don't worry about it and leave it alone

I've broken my pinkies a few times but never a bone inside the hand

I broke the metacarpal bone behind my index finger. It wasn't displaced, just fractured. Doctor didn't give me a cast or anything, the rest of the bones around there naturally split it enough I guess.

I broke/fractured the outer two metacarpals on my right hand maybe 6 or 7 times. Once they're damaged and not repaired properly they can become vulnerable. Worst still, I'm mid 40's and my hand aches like fuck already, trying to keep arthritis away but it is inevitable. Both of my hands throb in cold weather, especially the right one

never had it but heard of it. Most boxers get casts put on. I was lucky, I never broke my hand but they were sore alot of the time way back when and I think they are now a little stiff now.

I'd get a cast and get it taken care of properly. I'm a musician too so my hands were always important for me to take care of. I often wonder if i'd be a better pianist if I hadn't spent so much time pounding on stuff.

I still box though because I'm fucking dumb
it's all a trade off. The conditioning and health that it encourages are very important. In fact, I'm going back into hard training soon and just realizing i can't work as much and train hard at the same time, in other words, give up some money to get back into it.

Yeah, I did that in a skateboarding fall of all things.

Get it checked TS.
It might be minor, and just get a cast. Could be more serious and need a plate and screws. If you do nothing, and continue on as normal, you could fuck it up worse...

If I visited a doctor every single time I hurt that particular area of the hand I'd have to get a second job just to cover medical expenses. I know I should get it checked some time, but for now I can cope with the pain.

I wish I could join a gym where I could punch others but they can't punch me.

I'd gladly pay double the normal fees.
I only do heavy bag work these days, a few years back I found out I couldn't take body shots any more so I stopped. Only so many times you can shit yourself in public, though I've been saying that for decades
