Smartest thing that has ever come out of this cat's mouth. Normally he says dumb shit like "Steve Nash isn't athletic" and "in certain situations, women provoke domestic violence." I don't even understand why this man still has a job and is allowed to continue with his terrible act but this ladies and gentlemen isn't a thread to mock this douche. No no, this thread is to actually give credit because every dog has their day and finally I agree with someone in the media's views as they pertain to MMA and Boxing just ironic that it happens to be this asshole.

The threat of kicks and TDs changes everything. Look at that Mickey Gall fight. His opponent was a golden gloves champ. It is not easy to become a Golden Gloves champ. Yet Mickey made him look like a chump on his feet and easily knocked him down and then choked him out. And Gall is an MMA newbie basically.

The timing, the spacing..everything is different in an MMA fight than a boxing fight. It is extremely hard for a boxer to beat a good MMA fighter.

You had me at
Smartest thing that has ever come out of this cat's mouth

Ray Mercer got choked out by Kimbo.

Edit: I misread the title. Thought it said they can beat them at their game. Mercer getting choked out by Kimbo still stands though.

And no top mma fighter could beat a top boxer in a boxing match. This isn't news and anyone thinking otherwise is a fool.

The skills don't translate in either direction.

No shit. An average MMA fighter can't beat an average boxer at their game either.

Unless your name is Ronda Rousey.

I bet one day there will be an MMA fighter that could beat a top 50 boxer in boxing

He would need an extensive boxing background though.

I can't stand that fucker, the guy is a reverse racist and always yelling. Everything is race, and pulls the black card everytime a black athlete receives criticism.

Yea but c'mon mane how many times have you see some fuckwad spouting off in the media how boxers are hands down the best fighters and would beat any MMA even in an MMA fight

I boxed 4 years and was an amateur fighter...I'm currently taking BJJ and let me tell you man its not even close. BJJ or wrestlers with striking would swallow a boxer whole.

However, boxing is a great sport so is MMA. I only advise if you wanna learn self defense to learn a little bit of both.

Wouldn't that just make him a boxer who also competes in MMA like a Marcus Davis?

Steve Nash isn't athletic... That guy could have probably played pro soccer if he had chosen that instead of basketball. I followed Nash since he played at Santa Clara. The guy was a beast in his prime with the Suns.

Of course not. Too many other things to worry about preventing being a pure boxer in the cage.

i agree with stephen a smith he knows more than god knows

I sat court side at a Suns game and watching Nash play live so close was unreal. The guy was an absolute freak with eyes in the back of his head. I miss those old Suns teams. Fuck you Robert Sarver.
