Both Jones and Cormier had unusually low T/E ratios

What I think is that Cormier is 37 years old. With the way he trains and cuts weight, his results seem normal to me.

Yeah, that must be the reason. That is if you have no idea about whats going on in sports at this level.

Based on what science !?

I am generally curious as to what reading people are basing this type of thought process on ..

Never mind just saw Victor Contes response on Twitter
I just speak from experience bro.

Chris Weidman had .09 T/E ratio.

there's this interview where Ariel approached him after weigh-ins and said something like "I'd like to talk to you about T:E ratio test results" and Weidman had this scared look on his face and then Ariel just proceeded to talk to him about Vitor's suspicious results like a cuckold.

The look on Chris's face was so telling lol

We should rename Sherdog to DCsFanClub.com

Let's focus on Silva or Overeem, not the american, you bastards!

I see a lot people mentioning Jones' low testosterone levels in the past especially as of late, but people are forgetting Cormier also tested low.

http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2015/1/9...aniel-cormier-te-ratio-low-drug-test-mma-news

What do you guys think about that?
It's not really that people have forgotten. There are 3 groups of people here.

1. Those that know exactly what this implies and realize that both Men utilized an advanced PED protocol. And want to see them held accountable

2. What I said in number 1 but the same people want to ignore this because they support lax testing and actually want mostly illegal PED use in MMA.

3. This group is just plain uninformed , ignorant, etc... Hopeless. Typical fan actually.

I also want to point out that Cormier couldn't finish a 42 year old 198 pound guy on 2 days notice.

I'm not a Cormier hater. Just wanted to point out these interesting facts I just thought about sitting here drunk.
1. His levels weren't unusually low
2. Te ratios does not indicate test levels, just free test which vary, and dcs levels were within variation.
3. That same old man is a great striker that pretty much finished the current mw champion.
4 Dc easily beat silva and won 10-8 round
5 You're a moron.

Dat dere celltech

Low T levels don't necessarily mean they took E blockers then to begin with. Plenty of guys have low T around the time of a weight cut or after training. It could be a sign, but it's too far-fetched to be sure.

Yeah I believe Gus had the low TE levels also.

Anything below 0.25 is suspicious. DC's levels were fine. Jones and Weidman levels were red flags. A year and a half late, Jones got busted and Weidman lost his last fight after dropping 13lbs.

It can be caused by overtraining or a severe weight cut.

Whether it was or not for them I'm not qualified to say. Unlike Sherdogs 1000's of endocrinologists.

Maybe I missed it, but at what point did Sherdog believe it was qualified to interpret this kind of data?

On what do you base the idea that his T levels were "unusual"?

Yeah I'm sure he was scared. He was probably just thinking what the fuck.

While I wouldn't dismiss any possibility of Cormier doing it (since it's clear most fighters did, and possibly still do), author is kind of reaching.

Jones' avg was .277, with a low of .19
Cormier's was .44, with a low of .40

Cormier's levels were consistent, Jones' were not
(Cormier's high was 20% above his low, Jones' high was 85% above his low)

Cormier is 37, Jones is 29
