...only after losing. If both had won, despite media being tiring, they'd happily keep doing them telling the world how bitchen they are. At least Ronda hinted at being worn out before her loss. Conor just comes off as a complete baby now. "Waaaaaaa... I lost. I wanna fight Diaz again! Waaaaa...same weight as when I lost. Waaaaaaa... No media. I wanna just focus on avenging my humiliating loss. Waaaaaaaaa..." Someone give that tool a purple pillow.

Fame does that to you, the attention can wear people down

He says he got beat up and needs to focus on his training to have a good shot. What more do you want? Stoicism is a way to win few fans and as many $.

No one doubts that fame has its tiresome obligations. It's a double edged sword. It's just after losing the media obligations became an issue...that's the issue I have. When he was ranting and talking shit to Jose, he was fine with the media.

It's not new.

Conor was pretty clearly drained after the Aldo world tour. The fact that he went and did TUF right after is insane, but he did it. He prides himself in being able to handle all those sort of obligations. But it's a lot for anyone. It's something I think a lot of people overlooked in the Mendes fight. Yeah, Mendes came in on short notice and that matters... but yeah, Mendes wasn't running around the world exhausting himself with media obligations for the past year, which also matters.

As for Ronda, she was clearly reaching her limit as well. That weigh-in freakout looked stressed induced if anything and she had already asked the UFC for a break before her fight with Holly.

I don't think it's fair to either of these fighters to pretend like that sort of thing doesn't take a toll on you. Answering the same questions, coming in with the same energy over and over and over again. It's probably easier to do this when questions revolve around you winning than you losing, but either way it has to feel like a massive burden for the top few competitors that do the heavy lifting.

Deffinetly. They lose and are butt hurt because they let their ego get to their head.

Both Andy and GSP have said the same thing....

In fairness he did prep for Aldo Twice, once he was replaced by Chad. He also then did prep for RDA and that was changed to Nate. He's done a tonne of media in less than a year. So much that I think that's why a lot of people hate him. He's figuratively been shoved in our faces for well over a year now with the full force of the UFC hype train.

After a big loss and all the smack talk I can understand him wanting to step away. It's hard to go out there and promote a fight with a guy that just kicked your ass. What can he really say to Nate at this point? He's gotta train, and he's gotta do his talking with his fists this time.

also did the TUF show

Well if you're winning why change but as ronda mentioned before her stardom is built on winning and without that she's nothing. If you lose like they both (both in especially embarrassing fashion) then it probably makes put into perspective how much time you've focused on the fight as opposed to business engagements.

Yeah... I forgot. I haven't watched TUF in a long time since it stopped on Spike. Think the last one I watched was where Cote was a coach and I just went out of my way to watch that as I have a man crush on Cote.

unsurprising detail shadowing the tuf season that conor was on, he was out doing publicity stuff all the time and was only able to attend half of his teams training schedule.

Conor is a UFC "organ grinder monkey"......Dance for us monkey, God damn it, DANCE!

Well you can't just admit you got beat by a better fighter. A better fighter that was a huge under dog. So instead you blame absolutely everything and everyone else.

I almost wish the promotion did allow this fight to happen. With Conor doing zero promo. Because I'd love to hear what excuse he tries to sell his huggers for why he lost.

My guess is it will have something to do with the fight being in a new arena.

Or maybe he will say that he actually started feeling guilty about not doing his share of the promo work. So it was on his mind too much, affecting his training.

Perhaps he will say training in Iceland is just not as good as training in Cabo. Too many distractions in Iceland.

Maybe it will be Reebok's fault because they won't allow him to wear green anymore. Strictly black or white. This of course would throw anyone for a fucking loop.

It wouldnt surprise me if he said he was really feeling guilty about letting his fans down. That of course interfered with being focused during training. We all know how important his fans are to him.

There's that built in excuse of the death of that fighter just completely fucking up his mind.

Of course there's that old stand by. The skinny fat Mexican is just a bigger longer man.

These are just an example of the shit I expect him to trot out.

Thankfully I won't have to worry. Because there is no fucking way he headlines 200. And thank the Lord for that. Time to grow up there son. Actions have consequences and you're way too old to not realize this. He acted like a child and is being punished like one.

They were both complaining about them pre losses.............
