That's gotta be one of the most boring fights I have ever seen in my life. It really isn't a fight if an opponent just holds waistlock grip and rides the opponent entire fight.

Rules need to be changed. In folkstyle wrestling they ban that waistlock grip on the ground, should be banned in MMA too. that should only be allowed standing up. I want to see scrambles not a man hugging a man for dear life for 25 minutes.

No. It's realistic to use that for control and can setup back takes and submissions. Sometimes we just get duds.

No. It's realistic to use that for control and can setup backwards and submissions. Somestimes we just get duds.

Yeh you will lose some realism and transitions. But this fight is the future of MMA if you don't change this rule.

DDP was trying his hardest to scramble but Chimaev had him locked down due to his strength & his transitions. Many are trying to paint a picture of Khamzat just laying on Dricus & Dricus just letting him lay on him. Lol that's not the case at all. Dricus tried for 25 mins to scramble around but Khamzat had him tied down with nothing for him to do. That's domination. Khamzat was also doing work most of the time while the fight being on the ground. Those crucifixes Khamzat had DDP in were terrifying & brilliantly secured. DDP couldn't defend takedowns & the pace Khamzat set is impossible for anyone to keep up with & that should be appreciated.

Its so weird seeing all these MMA fans acting like they've never watched MMA before. Its just part of the sport that sometimes you see wrestlers shutting down strikers and smothering them on the ground for long periods, always has been. Whether it was entertaining or not it was a dominant and impressive performance from a guy who is clearly an ATG talent at the peak of his powers.

Anyway, next weekend Johnny Walker is fighting a dude who is on a 12 fight RD1 finish streak. Isnt that kind of variation the whole point of what makes MMA interesting?
