I’m such a pessimist about people, now. I’m sincerely afraid that he will get in again. I want to believe we are better than that, and I certainly, more importantly, want to not have that goof in control ASAP.

The economy means absolutely nothing to 99% of the population. Why do we hold this fake news up as some sort of accomplishment?

Great news for the American people and Trump administration. Consumer spending up to 4%, while nonresidential business investment jumped 7.3%. Very strong numbers. Can we associate Trump's tax cuts with new GDP boom? I think so. Both companies and consumers have been spending again as unemployment plunged to an 18 year low and the housing market boomed.

The running 4 quarter average is 3.1%, considered by economists to be a very strong number. After NK progress and EU deal even more real news! Trump shuts his vehement critics up.

I'm assuming it's been pointed out to you that Obama hit that number several times, with a much worse head start into his presidency than Trump had. He even hit 5.1 once. Did you lose your mind over that as well, or did you chalk it up to factors largely out of his reach?

Yea, they're good numbers, it's pretty difficult to argue that the economy hasn't been doing well since 2017, but why do you need to put this overtly partisan spin on it? "USA is back"? USA has been back since 2011, if you're going to use only the GDP measuring stick.

The US is in a seriously strong position. Even a war with Iran and in middle east wont hurt US and will just help them and by eliminating competition.

Fighting a massively expensive war in the ME will help the US economically? And competition for what? Oil? So the price for gas will increase every week like it did during Bush's term post Operation Iraqi Freedom, so the consumer pays more at the pump while oil companies increase their stock value? Yea, that'll be awesome for 99% of Americans.

US can also beat china back and win this trade war.

The catch is the US is interally divided and weak and multiculturalism and competinf religions and identities and latino/la raza/reconqusita sentiement etc is threatning to break the country up i think. Factor in the liberals love of open borders and islamic immigration and welfare socialism and you got a potential recipe for disaster.

I'm sure that having a president who tweets like a right wing troll has nothing to do with it.

I rremember Ron Paul saying presidents simply take credit for what the economy is doing during their 4 years, because the economic cycle cannot be understood or broken down in 4 year performance increments.
