Media "Bookmakers ruin families, worse than alcohol, never in EFC" - Khabib Nurmagomedov

He might not think he does, but without gambling being involved EagleFC will never get ti where it should.

As long as he gets monies from Kadyrov i don't think he could care about Vegas

I mean he owns an MMA promotion where people beat the shit out of each other for a living, there isnt really any moral high ground when you actually think about it...

He is right, betting is addictive
It's no more addictive than other things in life. Instead of blaming an activity how about people start looking in the mirror & put the blame on the person who is really responsible for addictive behavior. Themselves!

I mean the fighters who enter the cage all volunteer to. I mean it's not forced like ya get it. I mean, do you understand? So I mean Khabib does have moral high ground for promoting a sport. I mean did I dumb it down enough for ya?

People also arent forced to drink and gamble, whats the difference...

Certain addictions can ruin many lives, gambling is one of the worst, just talk to people who got addicted to it.

I agree with you on that. No one is forced to drink or get addicted to alcohol & no one is forced to gamble or get addicted to gambling. It's voluntary. People decide for themselves.

That's true but don't blame a sportsbook. Furthermore, don't blame drugs, money, sex, guns, alcohol or any other object or activity. Blame the person who is responsible. Everyone needs to be personally responsible for their own actions. But some people do not want to do that. Instead they want to blame anything other than themselves.

I would say, don't encourage it by telling people to do it. I know it brings lots of money, but everything can't be about money, you have to have some standards.

I don't have a problem with Khabib not wanting to promote sportsbooks. That's totally up to him. I just don't think it's right to blame gambling on anyone except the person who is responsible for their own behavior. Personal responsibility is important.

Leave it to sherdog to take a statement about being against gambling and the dangers of it and making it about fat people

why does he need the incredibly stupid hyperbole? Why isn't he comfortable just saying "we aren't allowing gambling or whatever in EFC" and leaving it at that?

Does anyone know if they sell alcohol at Eagle FC events in the US? As i thought it would be normal practice over there. Anyone ever been to one of their events?

Nah. Sounds like an even bigger sausage fest than normal mma shows

Because he doesn’t think it’s hyperbole. He believes what he is saying is true
