I remember at the end of the Ken vs Tito trilogy, the very first thing Ken said to Tito moments after the fight was, "You know we made a lot of money together" before they proceeded to bro out in the middle of the Octagon.

Tito also said, "It's part of the game, it's part of ENTERTAINMENT" when acknowledging his antics and beef during the post-fight interview.


When it comes to these MMA feuds, it's all about money. The more heated they can make the fight, the more money they will both make. I would not be surprised if there are some extra incentives thrown in there from Spike about bonuses the two could receive if it reaches a certain rating.

Not to mention sponsors jumping on board and putting up $$$ to be on the shorts of a big fight too.

This is a red meat culture, bruhs. Two dudes bowing at each other and tending to their koi ponds and butterfly colonies before fighting doesn't draw the type of attention or money two guys who hate each other will.

If I was in Bonnar's shoes, I would feed Tito some Pepper Steak in a hotel room if it meant popping a rating on fight night.

There is no beef and to be honest, I think they're manufactured 99% of the time. The only one that I can say with certainty was real was Chuck and Tito, Chuck still talks bad about Tito when asked.

I wouldn't be shocked, since Tito looked awful against Storm, but I'm not really certain that Bonnar wins either. I'm pretty sure Bonnar is still within arms reach of his prime, but even then he was never great

2 of those prospects are not on the main card, I hope they show replays.

Who in Gods name cares about Tito v Bonnar? With respect to what they may have contributed to the sport in the past? I respect them both as fighters, but dayum.. Is this fight supposed to be a big deal?

I actually think this is Bonnar getting love from the Spike people for helping make TUF a hit show on their network.. Or something.. Because in the sport, this fight doesn't really mean anything IMHO.

Get the TNA fans, the casuals who remember Tito from the glory days in the UFC, the casual fan who flips the channel and sees Bonnar and remembers years ago watching the Forrest fight. Saying oh yeah I remember him, oh and Tito, he used to be big, oh look whats this masked man shit they are showing before the fight. I'll watch this tonight.

get those fans to tune in and see Lima/Daley and Chandler/Brooks which are great fights, assuming Lima/daley makes this card. If it does even with a main event that doesnt really matter thats a good card and fans will tune in because of Tito/Bonnar.

I would much rather see Koreshkov v Daley for a shot at Lima.. Is Koreshkov hurt or something? Is he still getting the title shot he decisively earned?

Look at the ratings Kimblo v JT did.. Short term ratings are good in the short term, but you have to develop new guys better.

If Manhoef is a "never was" then the UFC is about 90% never was's and never will be's.. Then why even watch any of these events, eh? Manhoef was also crushing Lawler before the famed no-look shot. His worst losses are like Brock Larson and Mizuno.. Most UFC guys have worse losses than that on their record.

Looking at the records objectively, not in relation to whether they kept the UFC afloat for a couple bad years, Manhoef has had about as good of a career as Tito. Tito's split decisions over Vitor (right before he lost to everybody for a while) and Forrest Griffen just aren't that damn great. Without the Bader win, I would say I like Manhoefs record just as much, I guess the Bader win edges it for Tito.,

Manhoef is absolutely a never was and yes 90% of MMA fighters are never was fighters. Manhoef is a career journeyman and so is Marshall. Manhoef lost to Dong Sik Yoon, Mizuno, Rodney Glunder. His wins are 90% padding. If you are listing old as fuck Freeman, Sakuraba, and a guy like Santos as your most notable wins that just shows you were a never was.

Manhoef's records and accomplishments doesn't come close to Tito's. It wasn't until after his Prime that Tito looked like shit.
