Is it worth a shit? I bought it at Wal-Mart for $15 for 28 servings. It was all they had. Should I buy something more high-end or what? I've heard good things about Optimum, and Dymatize Whey.

I would recommend paying the extra money. I've used Optimum and Dymatize with good results, and they taste good. I know Optimum has glutamine in it that helps ur body recover. The quality of the protein is also most likely different, better ones are more effective because it is absorbed faster and less is wasted.

I've never even heard of that protein so i cant say anything about it. Just look on the side to see whats in it. I know a lot of cheap proteins have a lot of fats in them along with way too much cholesterol.

BTW What does this stuff taste life?

Body Fortress is mostly Whey Protein Concentrate, which is shit...but for the price, it's pretty awesome.

Especially if you can handle WPC. Some can't, so it isn't for them. It has a minimal amount of taurine and creatine in it as well...but very minimal.

Over all, as long as you know its low quality, it's a great 'oh shit im out of protein and its 3am' fix.

I love the stuff. Its really not as bad as people make it sound. Its cheap and it gets the job done, and actually tastes pretty good (for my tastes). Isnt that all that matters?

I've used Optimum and gotten fair results. Muscle Milk is also good and tastes good as well. The best whey I've ever used is MuscleTech, it's more $ but I had the best results with it. Not something you'd probably wanna buy all year round just because it's so expensive, but it's great for bulking phases.

I personally didn't like BF and when I started using ON I didn't look back

go with optimum gold definatly its not much more expensive then body fortress and is protien isolate has more glutamine/bcaa's per scoop it's just all around better and way amazing for the price + it even mixes easy and tastes okay

That pretty much sums it up. It's cheap and it works. My brother in law had a few tubs of chocolate that he gave to me and it was quite tasty mixed with a banana. The only thing I didn't care for was that it had creatine added to the mix, so that might be something to watch for if you are already supplementing with creatine or you have multiple shakes per day. I didn't notice any changes with gains or recovery as compared to my ON whey. If I was tight on money I would buy it.

Holy shit. I've never seen a post so dense with misinformation. Go FAQ yourself.

Dude, why dont u say something more productive then.

I know glutamine helps the body to recover. It prevents the body from breaking down after a workout. (I'm looking at a container of Dynamite now and it says it has 3.5g of glutamine)

Isolates proteins(the more expensive kinds) have less crap in them, there a purer source of protein. Isolate means it goes through extra processes to get rid of things like fat, lactose and cholesterol. A cheaper concentrate wont go through those proses.

A scoop of body fortress (the super advanced stuff or whatnot) has 1g more fat that ON, and 10mg more cholesterol, it aint gonna kill ya. Its about 7 dollars cheaper, and you dont have to pay for shipping. Sure its not all isolate, but the difference in the recovery between a 100% pure isolate and concentrate + isolate mix is nothing huge. It also has your precious glutamine so that argument wont work.

I guess it will get the job done. I find it so completely awful tasting that I want to vomit sometimes(not kidding). Some people seem to like it soooo.

are you kidding man? have you ever had creatine ethyl ester straight? Or apple cider vinegar since that is the current topic on this board?

You are spoiled by taste. And go with the chocolate, never the vanilla

No, IDK what it is I just think Body Fortress stuff is nasty. I have had just about every form of protein powder out there its just my reaction to it. Like I said I know plenty of people that like it but, to me the extra couple of buck to get something better tasting is money well spent IMO.

i bought a couple tubs at walmart too cuz it was so cheap, cookies and creme, choc and vanilla

but i usually stick with on or isopure, u can find some pretty big tubs of isopure like 9-10 pounds for cheap online

altho it is pretty convenient to just goto walmart and pick up some cheap protein than wait for it over the mail

Ya know, if you hit up trueprotein's "recession" specials, you can get some super cheap whey too. $4/lb is pretty good IMO

I tried the BF protein. It wasnt that bad as far as taste goes but the creatine was shit. Performance wise, it wasnt that bad. Its better than Xyience. I remember buying that crap product few years back.

This is the protein I use, would you reccomend I use this as a creatine source as well or should I take creatine separately.
