Vale Tudo, or thai style shorts with the slit. Board shorts seem too bulky; they can get in the way and people can grab them.

However, I will point out that it is legal to grab your own shorts (a rule I disagree with). So if you have really shitty kimura defense, maybe you should wear loose shorts so you're free to grab them.
