Pickett might be a jobber, but I can't think of anyone that would be a -1800 favorite over Pickett (maybe Khamzat).

Adesanya might play around in the -800 range against Pickett but that'd be it.

Any MW now or all time?

I think Prime Anderson Silva would beat him

No he wouldn't. He hasn't fought past the first round. People know he's missing a lot of experience. He is falling over throwing kicks in the fight because he's not comfortable in the cage yet. He's still trying to finish his fights quickly and sprinting for the finish. We need to see what happens when he can't get the finish right away and how he handles the rest of the fight. He needs a real test still, he isn't a favorite at all vs anyone in the top 15 until he is able to show more. So far he hasn't shown enough for him to be the favorite yet. Once he gets a real test and passes that with flying colors, he will be the favorite. He needs to fight a real live body first. No one he's fighting are fighting back and just laying over for him so far. His first real test will answer the questions and see where he's really at.

He does have the potential to, but right now I don't think he's at that level yet. He looks too uncomfortable right now and no one knows how he handles a real fight yet. He hasn't taken a real hit yet. No one knows how his chin is and how he reacts to a real strike landing on him. Those questions still need to be answered. How fighters react to getting hit is a very important factor in a fight.

That is crazy. You can tell he isn't that experienced yet. It doesn't mean he isn't good. He just doesn't have the fight time. He has 6 fights including amateur. He has less fights than Khamzat when he came to the UFC.

He wasn’t -1800 because of how good he is as a fighter. They juiced him as much as possible because they didn’t want to make the same mistake they made in the Contender Series where they mistakenly gave us all free money.

This is kind of an interesting take. I’m not sold on bo at all so I agree that hypothetically at this point Silva destroys him easily. But then there’s chael and I gotta wonder.

Noob, watch history, ; ie, Jackson vs shamrock, inoue vs Alger, Coleman vs Smith, couture vs inoue etc etc.

100%

To be honest I like his chances against most if not all

but

he didn’t take Pickett down instantly - there was some reaisictance there ….. there’s reason to believe some can stuff him

I know jones / Cormier / gsp /khabib etc don’t have his wrestling credentials - but even they got stuffed numerous times

I don’t think he’d be favored against Alex, Izzy, Whittaker, or Vettori today.

And his best shot to win would be against Alex. I don’t think he’d have a chance against Whittaker. Vettori has good enough wrestling to win, imo. And Izzy could win a point fight.

That’s my opinion.

Bo Nickal is not a lock at all. He did not take down Pickett at will. He could hit a major wall if an opponent stuffs his takedown, and his blitz might become useless.

many tests are still ahead for him

Khamzat for sure beats Pootan with the belt right no

Clear as day to see

Maybe Bo beats Pootan, too

Whitaker is pretty clearly a nightmarish matchup. Hard to see him taking him down and finishing him, and if not, hard to believe he gets takedowns for 3 rounds and survives 2 more.
