It wasnt as great as I thought it would be but it was still pretty good overall

There wasn't as much action as I would have liked to see but ending was really good and unpredictable.

Checked this out today. Better than the trailer would have you believe I think, and for once in the modern age the trailer does a good job of not showing you the whole movie.

Really strong and assured visual style. Good action. Some interesting twists and turns.

Easily one of the best films of the year so far I think, especially considering that this has been a fairly weak year so far.

8/10

Movie looks like it has a cool premise. I like the cyber upgrade idea.

I saw it last night and thought it was awesome. My biggest gripe is that it's pretty predictable for the most part, however the ending actually caught me off guard. It's well executed and I loved the scenes of extreme violence. If you're tired of super hero movies and star wars, give this a shot.

What's funny is that the lead actor looks like Tom Hardy, and the general plot actually seems very similar to the Venom movie coming out later this year (in that a guy gets implanted or becomes host to a foreign body, and it slowly tries to take over him). Except that this movie was actually good, and Venom looks like it's going to blow balls.

8.5/10

I really enjoyed this. Tom Hardy's twin sold it well. Props to him.

Logan Marshall Green also starred in The Invitation, which has one of the most bonkers endings of any Film in recent years

Saw this Thursday, somehow not only lived up to my expectations but completely surpassed them. I'm a sucker for revenge flicks and this one did a great job of keeping that vibe that I like, while still keeping things really fresh and interesting. And just as it started to feel a little predictable and cliche, it completely turned and caught me off guard.

I'm truthfully struggling to come up with things I didn't like about it. Thought the writing was great, the dark comedy was well done and fit perfectly. Logan Marshall Green did a fantastic job as the lead. Enjoyed the fuck out of the fight scenes, liked the camera work and it was never overused to the point of being disorienting. The fact that it wasn't extremely violent made the occasional moments of gore really effective.

All in all, easily my favorite movie I've seen this year. Really wish moviepass would allow you to do repeat viewing as I'd 100% go back and watch this again.

8.5(maybe 9 need to watch again)/10

th

Gonna check this out! It has a Bushwacker type character in it!

Tom Hardy did a great job playing Venom. I love the scenes where Tom Hardy's character and the symbiote are fighting for control over the body. Their relationship was great. I'm just confused why they changed the name to Upgrade

9/10. Really enjoyable and ending was great.

watched this tonight.
thought it was pretty good.

felt like a long black mirror episode

acting and action was pretty good. setting as well. thought the car chase scene was poorly executed. they used a lot of cool cinematography tricks throughout a lot of the movie but then the chase looked generic.

probably wouldn't watch again.

Has anyone watched this movie? It kind of flew under the radar even though it has some great reviews.

I watched it the other day and it was really good. Apparently the budget for this movie was under 5 million which is pretty damn amazing. It didn't feel like an indie movie at all.

I highly recommend it.

Also, the main character looks like Tom Hardy's twin brother.

Just watched it, really good revenge action film. Reminds me of a gritty graphic novel, with a good sci fi aesthetic.

I thought it was about Enterprise Rent A Car. It’s a big deal to get an upgrade when your insurance only covers a Smart Car.

I thought it was extremely boring and managed about an hour before it got switched off. The Chelsea smile bit was good, though.
