I'm going with MK. It dropped at the perfect time of my childhood. Seen it more times than I can count.
And it’s currently free on YouTube.Bloodsport is a classic.
Sorry Sonya.
mk is an objectively better movie but blood sport in it’s time was the coolestThe Movie that inspired the video game vs the Movie version of that video game.
Wasn't going to make this thread because I was 95% sure Bloodsport would run away with it easily. But that 5% of me thinks the popularity of MK and cult status might be underestimated. And another part of me thinks maybe I do prefer MK deep down and cant be the only one.
Both are martial arts films. Both have a an exotic feel matched with music that enhances the mood. Lui Kang is kinda like cardio Chong li.
I'm a big fan of both movies. The criticisms are fair and they arent complex films but they are ones you can get lost in and and just enjoy.
Which movie do you prefer?
“What kiiind of a deal?”
better movie = bloodsport
better soundtrack = mk
I'd take Paul Hertzog's score for Bloodsport over the music from MK or almost any other movie for that matter.
